  1. Oh yeah I saw you under the 76 bridge right? It looked like you left as soon as I got down the ramp. I'm going again tonight lol for the 6th day in a row. I just can't stop myself, but I won't be in the boat tonight. Just bank fishing.
  2. Well I caught a couple whites, trout, and LM Bass. No darn walleye. I advise that nobody ever take advice from me about walleye fishing from here on out. I gave up about 8:30 tonight and headed up into Swan. I crossed the magic line right under the bridge and it looked like stars in the sky. Walleye were everywhere scattered out. I hate walleye. PS: Where was everybody?, lol.
  3. I will be there or there abouts somewhere with my dog and older son in a white fiberglass boat. Leaving now.
  4. I almost went down there this morning, but I was up to late from being down there last night. I was worried this front might have affected the bite, but apparently not. You did a lot of moving around to cover all those spots before it got light.
  5. While everybody is complaining, I have one. The fish cleaning station across from the ramp is disgusting. Apparantely there is no water available anymore to help clean. Which in turn has left people just throwing their dead fish in the sink. Awesome people! You gotta love em, lol. Ok I feel better now. Oh by the way. The walleye and whites are going up into Swan after dark.
  6. Good report. I was going down there for a few days to and it seemed that the water cleared up and it pushed them back out into the lake. I don't know for sure, it's just a guess. And I feel your pain on the gas, it gets taxing when a feller goes often.
  7. How was he netting crappie? Was he using a cast net? I would think it would be hard to do with a dip net.
  8. Nice report. It's a shame most people don't think like that. It's usually the other way around with the males and females. Usually people are throwing back the males so they can have the females. I'd much rather eat those little males than a 3lb female. I'm surprised you guys didn't catch more crappie, with the way the bite was not to long ago. Thanks for posting.
  9. Phil, with this kind of talk, you're gonna make me drive down there for the 3rd day in a row now and gas is expensive, lol.
  10. Hey Phil, I was there in a older white fiberglass boat with 2 dogs and my 4 yr old son. I saw you off and on all day but didn't know it was you. We was there from noon to 7:15 I only caught 2 whites about 30 mins before I left. Back to back and then the school moved upstream and I saw 2 more caught upstream. Josh was down there but I don't know if he caught much. There was a guy along the bluff using minnows who was there most of the day. He caught several walleye and I think a couple black bass. I drifted it with worms and got stripped a few times in the deep hole.
  11. Now that is an awesome day from the bank. It's not very often a person catches 3 keeper size walleye from the bank. Nice report.
  12. Right in front of the marina and just upstream to the bluff was the impression I got from him. He said they were all nice big whites to. He was going back and forth there by the park the whole time I was there.
  13. I was down there today in the boat and I talked to 2 different boats who said they both caught their limit yesterday in Beaver Creek. He showed me a nice big sow he had caught earlier today, but I got there after the cold front and they were not biting anymore.

    Spring

Hopefully the rain makes it flood and will help bring the whites upstream out of the lake.
  15. Well has anybody out there been fishing in Flat Creek any? I'm hoping to have time off work to go within the next few days and wondered if the crappie bite has been kept secret? I'm going any way, but just wondered if I should have my hopes up.
  16. Are you saying the lake is low? Or that they removed them?
  17. I think I seen those above the Branson strip by Celebration City yesterday. They were way up high flying around and I couldn't tell what they were. Looked like white buzzards.
  18. " I know a lot of people on here will think oh dung another dude with a jet on our rivers and I really don't care.....at least I won't be gigging bass like a ton of hoosiers do on our rivers and I will mostly be using it in the winter and fall....... as well as Taney." I guess everybody has their faults. Some gig fish they shouldn't. Some keep fish that others don't want anybody to keep and eat. Some take jet boats up small areas on streams where boats become dangerous for others and wash out banks. We all have our faults I guess, lol. http://www.rockproofboats.com/objet.html#
  19. Dang I had those in the bigger swimming minnows when I was there last Sunday.
  20. If you're talking about me, I was in an older white Straum. I had a brown and white dog and my son with me. I seen you moving around as much as I was lol.
  21. I was down there today also with very little luck. I only caught 2 today. I seen a boat catch a few 100 yards away, but I could never get them to hit on anything I was throwing. Sometimes watching others catch em gets frustrating, lol.
  22. I saw a guy catch a couple about a mile upstream from K dock 2 or 3 weeks ago.
  23. All there was was a slight breeze. Most of the time I was sitting pretty still. It was right before the front 2:00-4:30
  24. After all my good luck last Sunday( besides all the boat traffic) I decided to go back yesterday before the ice storm hit. I had already eaten my limit of crappie from before. I decided to take my kayak since I figured there wouldn't be much boat traffic. Well there were no boats. I spent about 2 1/2 hrs drifting around trying to find them again. I ended up only catching 3 keepers and a short. I guess with the front coming through it had them shut down. On my way down there I had dreams of getting my limit in about an hour, lol. I hope they show back up, they were sure easy pickings before. I used sliders, swimming minnows, small crappie grubs and had hard luck with all.
  25. I went down and fished under the bridge at Riverrun on the bluff side. Never had a bite and lost 5 jigs and sliders. I also used rogues for a while to. This was 2 days ago. There were a couple other guys there. I never saw them catch one either, but didn't talk to them. I fished from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.
