Congratulations Phil!! I have six of my own and enjoy every day. Not to take anything from your present family, but you will be a much better grandparent. Again as with your children, enjoy them, time does pass way too quickly!!!

Thoughts And Comments On Forum Expansion

Phil, just my 2 cents worth. Most people that use the forum are computer literate. That being said, I would like information on Texoma, Fork, Livingston and more lakes that I have the opportunity to fish ocassionaly. But I can look up those lakes and information on the internet before making trips. I read the OAS forum for local lakes and gather information that will assist me in my fishing here locally. I understand what you are saying and trying to improve the forum, but how much is too big. "Sorta" like our government - bigger is not always better!!! -
Our group is having wings prepared seven different ways with all the trimming imagineable. The grandkids are having pizza of course!! By the way, I am picking the Cards - 24 - 17.

Sara, congratulatioon on number 27. Oh! to be twenty-seven again, but then again I would not be enjoying my six grandchildren. Life is Good!! Holly Smacks!!!!! It's nice to have good neighbors. My neighbor's tree came crashing down on our shared private fence. Knowing that the insurance would say it was an "Act of God" he volunteered to pay for the fence repair if I would him cut up the tree. Will break out the chain saws and start a weekend project. Hope every is safe and did'nt sustain much damage. Sorry Phil about the dock. Hope insurance company will help!!!

Joefish, Doesn't matter if it is a monster or an average fish. If it moves the rod tip and you fight it, land it and release it is a good fish. Nice fish!!!!

Was on the way to West Plains yesterday afternoon, when I noticed four people ice skating on a large pond along Hyway 60 near Fordland. Was kinda neat to see. Thats pretty cold!! I'm sure Table Rock has dropped a few degrees!!

Was wondering if anyone heard how his wife's sugery turned out. According to his post under prayers, she was to have surgery on Monday or Tuesday. Will be in prayer for a speedy recovery!!!

I will show my age, but before you buy your yearly pass if you are 62 or older you need to get your Golden Pass from the corp and every thing is half price when you show your pass. That includes your ramp fee, camping fee, and National Parks. I got mine at the National Battlefield Civil War office near Springfield.

I use Hodson Mills Corn Meal. It has no perservatives and your second and third skillets of fish come out just like your first. The persertives are what burns in your other batters. It is a little higher these days with the price of corn, but it really cooks up your fillets nice.

I emptied my rain guage twice today and added the totals together and came up with 5.8 inches since 7:00 a.m. this morning here in South Springfield. Drove down to the Lake Springfield area and the James is already rolling. I'm sure it won't crest until sometime tomorrow afternoon.
