Doesnt the gate to fellows open at sunrise? Be hard to register and get boats in the water in 15 min. I agree, too much confusion and date changes, good luck to a that fish
BC you're not catching them doesn't mean others aren't. Maybe you should ask your dad where he caught his limit? Bass are very active right now. Up the rivers they are hitting a wiggle wart but on main lake I would throw a jerkbait. Walleye are still out deeper with the last 3 nights catching 2 an evening. Maybe I just suck but I think BC we know its warm the fish don't think the same way
I would say the water is low to get ready for spring rains. if the water stays low before the crappie spawn it will not affect them. the fish will just adjust. I think the reason we have such a good bass population is because of the low water when they move on bed and then the rains come and the beds are deeper and the fry have more cover the hide in
Do you have to get a permit? Would fellows allow it? I've had a tournament out there but it was all "under the table" and by honesty. Best 5 by catch, record And release
I swore I remember hearing something about the Power Station shutting down for maintenance but cannot find anything in writing that says this. I have tried to call and no one seems to give me an answer bc no water has been coming out for at least a week. Anyone have any knowledge of a "shutdown"?
I would say 95%+ of tournament fish go back. As a tournament fishermen, we take pride in making sure no fish die. You can look at results from omtt, anglers in action, Joe bass, etc and see not many fish are dead upon weigh in
Do you think the dramatic increase in boat permits to the lake has lessened the "game fish" population. I bet you would be surprised to ask the marina owners how many boats are registered now as compared to 5 years ago even. Not every one practices catch and release especially when the slot us 12-15"
