That is waaaay cool! Looked like you had a blast. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. The sooner I can get the place cleared out, the better. They're going to pay me through the end of July, then 10 weeks severance. So, I figured if I can move all the goods in a month or 6 weeks, I'll have a little fishing time. So be on the look out for some serious road reports from me...
  5. I was formally "let go" today....
  6. My buddy Sherwood caught what I would consider a trophy SMB this past October on the Current. Only slightly larger than the one my girlfriend caught in May at Table Rock.... here's a link to the Current report.
  7. Shoot Leonard a PM....
  8. Nice Don! I still have a score to settle with the McClouds.
  9. Dano, don't you have a scope? just kiddin... and glad I'm one of only 2 houses on my dead end street.
  10. Do your own homework CK! Just messin brother. Take a camera. If that's "ok". and only garter removal shots if the bride is hot! Now get out there and shovel the driveway!
  11. JD, I was just messin with you and Thom. No disrespect intended. Just funnin'. I really appreciate the input from y'all. Oh, yeah, that "Orvis store", its a real treat. Blech! I concur.
  12. Well, since JD and Thom agreed on something, anything, I will hereby delcare my less than stellar experience at Cabelas a complete success. Congrats fellas!!!
  13. Somebody loves their camera! Quitting fishing yet T?
  14. Took the 30+ mile drive to Cabelas in Hazelwood this afternoon because I had to return something and to ask the fly shop guys about a broken reel foot that I need to replace(yes, still). I was amazed, after a short wait in the return line, I browsed my way over to the fly fishing gear. Walked over and placed my reel on the counter. Looked around, no one. Oh well, I figure maybe there's only one guy in the shop today and he's probably helping someone else right now. No big deal. So like the 12 year old 38 year old that I am, I just start picking up everything and playing with it. 10-15 minutes go by, a guy comes up and asks me if anyone is working in the fly shop, I tell him I haven't seen anyone. About 5 minutes later an employee walks up with an armful of items to be re-stocked. I ask him if anyone is working in the fly shop. He tells me that the 2 guys that are supposed to be - aren't in today. Huh? Supposed to be? Aren't in today? What the? Now, I have never had ANY problems with Cabelas, ever. But, when the girlfriend finishes shopping at <cringe> Bed, Bath and Beyond before I ever get to speak with anyone that works at a fishing store, something is seriously wrong. I hate to sound like I'm trashing them, but that was just not right. If they're not selling any more fly fishing stuff, they should have told someone. Kind of sad, because I really like the place. If I was running that store there would be 2 job openings in the fly shop at the Hazelwood Cabelas - right now.
  15. Urban Trout Fishing Is Dangerous.... only if you're stupid.
  16. or give it away to the first person on here that will give her a good home, on the premise that the person that you give it to will take you fishing in it the next time you are in their neck of the woods. Seriously, the charity thing is the way to go if you just absolutely have to rid yourself of her.
  17. LL, you sir, had one heck of a day on Crane. Well done and thanks for sharing. Preshadit.
  18. FSWMO, that is wicked cool and thanks for sharing. Nice January elixir....
  19. Nope, but if I ever become a millionaire, I'm buying us both a copy.
  20. Ah, trout porn in the morn..... thanks CK. Glad you had a good time. Let me know when you get another "pass from the warden".
  21. Phil, the "hoax" forum was a valiant effort and very much appreciated. Not to mention hilarious. But when Babs did the old end around on you, I was rolllllin!!!! Good job Phil!!!
  22. Thanks Thom. I'm going to see if one of the guys here at work can test it for me and I think I have a couple of leads on where I can find a replacement. I'll check the boards and contacts tonight.
  23. Yeah JD, its the only opener. Its a Craftsman/Sears. I searched online and the closest motor rewind shop I found is in Alton. I did find that you can sometimes get one from an HVAC guy, so I'm going to try that route after I check out Radio Shack. Thanks brother!
  24. Thanks guys. JD, popped the cover, all gears seem fine and greased. Thom, the capacitor you described... could this be it, and pardon my ignorance but what on earth is a motor rewind shop?
  25. As if I don't have enough problems, last night I opened the garage door to let the dog go the paper. When I went to close it, it wouldn't close. All it does is hum and it doesn't move. I checked the sensor alignment, rollers, chain, and pulleys and everything seems to be in order. Should I get up on a ladder and whack the motor like you do a starter on a car? Any Ideas?
