  1. Take East Farm Road 66(east) to North Farm Road 197(south). If you go to Google maps and type in Fellows Lake Springfield, MO and use the satellite feature and pan and zoom, you should be good to go. Here's a link.... Fellows Lake Map
  2. Flyfshn, there's a campground that Sand Spring runs that is on the other side of the river. You can find it on their site. It also looks like it may be good for river fishing when the park is done for the day. Also, even though its a drive to the park, I've always been intrigued by the Tee Pees at Redbeard's ranch. Get a load of me, throwing out places I've never even stayed! What gives?!?!
  3. Yep, they are sweet catalogs. Fit perfectly on the back of the head too.
  4. You know why they sent you that one Leonard? It's a little thank you for all the money you've given them. How do I know you may ask? Cause I got one too!
  5. Cheif, I disagree. YOU didn't get anyone in trouble. THEY did it to themselves, and probably have been for a long time just never got caught. You were just a keen set of eyes and aware of the regs. Right on Brother!
  6. Nice Harps! You mean this one?!?! I just knew that looked familiar! BTW, I didn't give up the pic - I swear! No, seriously, I didn't. After all, you posted it here for the stealing. You should be honored...
  7. Well? How was the weekend? I'm dying here!

    I Love To Grow!

Whoa Zander! That is some serious science stuff. Nice! I knew this site would have some very good knowledge to pass around. This is going to be a good garden year.

    I Love To Grow!

Trav, I dunno if you have a place down that way, but up here in STL, I go to the bug store and get a bag of 1000 lady bugs and put them on my mater plants for aphid control. As long as there are aphids to eat, they hang around. I use about a third of the bag at a time and they keep just fine in the fridge until you need some more. Plus - its really cool to watch the bugs come to life in the bag when they warm up.... trippy.
  10. Here's a map, I have the winter trout lakes circled in yellow. You can pick up regs at the entrance.
  11. Cool, thanks Phil! FFM and BRBF, I believe that this is for outdoor gardens, not basement or closet gardens.

    Snakes

Remind me NEVER to fishing with you Bman. I think you should change your forum name to "SnakeWhisperer". I found a perfect black snake skin (head to tail) in the garage at my rental house and it measured 4 feet, that was 2 years ago. Gave it to the nephew for Cub Scouts. I hope she is still around, must be, I rarely see any field mice. The pic of the entire snake on the fence is excellent. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Very cool Brian. Thanks for sharing.
  14. Does anyone else do this? I have a fairly good sized garden for living in a subdivision, was just wondering if we could maybe add this as a sub-forum under say home improvement or food. Just for tips, tricks, advice, questions, answers and what not.
  15. Well, count me out. I have... "previous engagements" that I was not aware of...... <insert expletives here>
  16. Oh Tim! That is awesome, thanks so much for sharing. You gotta love getting to your "happy place". I always do.
  17. What, no link Chief?
  18. Gentlemen, we can all rest easy tonight, because now, we all know where Trav's dock is. Hope he has 10-12 slips, lures, bait, ice, refreshments, and gals in bikinis dockside.
  19. Don, that is the coolest thing EVER!
  20. Yeah CC the people at Sand Spring are a great bunch of folks. Would camp, but chick is not a huge fan of sweating while sleeping. Plus, if I get us a room with a kitchenette, she'll probably make us all some goodies. I'll fish where ever. If you're camera shy, stay away from me - girlfriend is usually lurking with the camera around her neck. Which is a huge plus if you stick a pig. You know, now that I think about it, Friday is the end of month at work, so it will be chaos, which usually translates into, let's get the heck outta town with the quickness. So maybe, if I can peel early I can meet you and John in Zone 1.
  21. Right on Tinner! Details!?
  22. Marathon on today..... as information.
  23. Hope everyone has a wonderful day with their kids and Dads.
  24. I probably won't be there until Saturday, depends on how Friday goes at work. Thinking of staying until Monday, maybe Tuesday. Me and the girlfriend will probably shack up at Sand Spring, if we can get a room. More info as it becomes available. Just can't get here fast enough.....
  25. Bigred, my girlfriend and I booked a half day trip, on fairly short notice, with Bill Beck back in May. We are by no means bass fishermen. We mostly fly rod it for the trout. Bill was absolutely great! Patient, personable, professional, and just an all around fun guy to fish with. More than happy to answer any question, no matter how rookie it was. Put us on fish immediately, it was amazing. Of course, the girlfriend out-fished me (she landed a 3.5# smallie) but it didn't matter, when we were riding back from our time on the Rock, she says, "That was awesome! We have to fish with him again, and soon!" If he can get her to want to fish more, that's just more fishing time for me. Its a win-win. The only problem you may have is his time. He mentioned something about having been on the water 54 days in a row that day. Crazy! Bottom line, he is that good. I'd say go for it. He's a first class individual.
