Funny, I never got an email about you going to Bennett. When did you go? You didn't ask for help. My advice was going to be get one of the kiddos to help. I always call my little bro on stuff like this - he hates it and thinks I'm stupid which is why I love asking him. Annoying your siblings is fun no matter how old you get. Please don't take this the wrong way, ANYONE.... Whine and moan all you want about black market this and who is going to give me customer service that. Things are tough all over gentlemen. Its just the way it is. I haven't had but two weeks of honest work since the end of May and I still flung 6 or 7 hundred dollars into the economy in the Branson area over New years, not because I felt some special allegiance but because I wanted to go. If someone wants to save $20 and take their chances, it is their choice, just as others choose to drop their dime at a local shop. Its not bad or evil, its just a choice, that's it. When I first joined OAF I gave SIO3 some brand new fly line and shipped it to him for FREE. That's right, it was TOTALLY FREE. No one had a problem with that. What's wrong with a guy just trying to make a buck and survive like the rest of us? Keep your trunk open Brian Shaffer and next time I'm down that way, we can barter. Maybe I can trade you some furs for a pound of lard or something. Things seem to have gotten a little nasty on the old OAF boards since the winter weather has been less than stellar. Well Leonard, we would have broken THE record if that powerbait wouldn't have kept flying off on my back cast. :lol: Warmer, heck, I thought the weather was perfect!!!!

Got to the pavilion around 8pm-ish. The ground was lightly covered with snow. I begin the multi-layer routine and gear up. Leonard arrives around 8:30, snow's coming down pretty good by now. We rig up and head out. I've never fished Taney at night and I absolutely HATE cold. It was 15* and did I mention snowing? After a short on stream tutorial, it was on to casting. PMS and the Hibernator were the weapons of choice. We chose well. Leonard had fish of the night around 17" and most fish to hand; probably 12 or more. I fared well with 7 to hand, one LDR. The fish were hammering our offerings. I missed many, but I won't miss that many next time. Snowing pretty good the whole time. Off the water by 1030-ish. Good thing, I got up just enough speed to put the truckster into 4 high and off I went. Took the long way back to the room and would have made decent time if I wouldn't have had to wait for the cars and pick ups to slide off the road so I could pass. I was so stoked when I got back to the room I didn't go to sleep until 3am. Good times Leonard!!! Until next time brother, I'll keep replaying that experience in my head.

My buddy was on his way to Springfield from Saint Louis this morning and found two female black lab pups (9 months old or so) with shock collars on, chasing cars on I-44 at mile marker 156 around 9:30am. They have no tags or chips. If anyone knows who they may belong to send me a PM. The dogs are safe and sound in Springfield, MO. Spread the word, thanks y'all.

Two of the five I'm sure he already knew and kudos to him for maintaining a sense of humor on the the third. So he learned two things at an average of about 25 posts each.
