  5. I was simply making the distinction between natural expansion and man induced transplantation. Nothing more, nothing less. Congratulations on continuing to keep the standards of discussions on this forum high.
  6. They are only native if they got there on their own. If they are transplanted by man they will never be native.
  7. It's nothing more than a Texas rig, which has caught millions of fish for decades.
  8. Ok. Name one state that does not allow you to own a firearm. Not restrict. That's not what you originally said.
  9. But yet there isn't a state where you cannot own a firearm as you were eluding too.
  10. I wasn't aware of a state that you couldn't own a gun.
  11. Hmmmmm
  12. Hard to do when they keep sticking microphones in your face. It's the media creating the circus you so despise. It's not like he keeps hosting news conferences.

  16. It is obvious you are the one with the stained lips.
  17. How many do you know? I thought the one you did know was out of business? What did he do with his heard? Free Range them?? It certainly isn't out of line to point the finger at the very people that brought this disease into this state.
  18. I think that docu came out about a year ago. That was the second time I have seen it. Its a really good docu and I enjoy seeing it. You gotta love that wolf hating outfitter at the very begining. What a moron!!
  19. I harbor no illusion that bedding Bass are occasionally caught by me and others. The difference here is, this man specifically and blatantly targeted smallmouth guarding nests. And wears this accomplishment like a badge of honor. Huge difference with what you were talking about. And that is not to say that he is a good or bad fisherman or person. I just strongly disagree with those ethics. I am sure he is a great man personally and I would be more than happy to fish with him too.
  20. A change of heart there Al? You used to be a staunch advocate against fishing the beds. You seem to be waffling abit.
  21. You make it right in your mind however you want. I make no assumptions of your fsihing skills. But it takes no skill to target nesting fish. And your copy and paste is correct. It makes no difference what time of year bass are harvested.Harvest is harvest. But it speaks nothing about the mortality of the eggs and fry that were being protected by that bass that was targeted whether it was released back into the water or a stringer. And that is what we are talking about. Not the harvest of legal bass. That was a nice deflection though.
  22. Well its like this. They will not eat during the actual action of the spawn. That is when both male and female are on the nest and he is milting the eggs as she drops them. What you were doing was plucking the fathers that guard the eggs and for a time, the young fry. They were not eating what you were tossing at them. They were protecting their nest from invaders. That is why you had such an easy time. It wasn't that you were a great fisherman and discovered something. It only takes seconds for predators that are just waiting for the opportunity for an easy meal. Like you said, to each their own. Probably about the lowest type of fishing you can do in my book though.
  23. Nothing like plucking them off of the nest. :yuush:
