  1. Thanks for the report Bob. I think I am going after the whites and walleye tomorrow. I did check the regs and they say no more than 4 over 18". Those would be some BIG whites!
  2. Good thing they don't taste like walleye huh? :-)
  3. Nice fish! My partner was up there this weekend trying the walleyes also with no luck.
  4. Nice PD! Lakebumb and I used to troll that area and catch a few. Looking forward to getting my boat out of the shop and get back to it.
  5. Yep. I believe its $35. I was in my buddy's boat and he had to get one. Last time I had got one they were $5 but that has been about five years ago.
  6. There were two trailers in the parking lot yesterday.
  7. Was fishing out of boat on the south arm.
  8. Went this afternoon for a little while caught a 5.3lb walleye along with another keeper walleye and 5 channel cats in the 1-2 lb range. Using nightcrawlers in 25fow. Water temp was upper 80s. That is my best walleye so far.
  9. Congrats!! Lots of good catfish in Lake Springfield!
  10. Is there a limit on Yellow Perch on Bull Shoals in Arkansas or Missouri? Not that I have to worry about it, never have caught more than two in a trip down there but they do eat well :-)
  11. Nice job, RPS!
  12. Went with a buddy out to Fellows Saturday morning. Haven't been there in about a year. We caught several nice bluegill throwing small jigs to the brush. Also picked up a couple of decent whites along with two LM that were just over 15in. The whites and LM were on small spoons in about 20ft.
  13. Without looking it up. Does it say that your lifejackets have to be out at all times or just when the engine is running? We make a rule of wearing them when the big engine is above idle speed but not while we fish with just the trolling motor.
  14. My son and I fished it this morning for a little while. Only caught a couple of small bass and one nice crappie. The water looked fine and the ramp was very useable.
  15. Glad you got into em!! Gonna give it a try this Friday.
  16. Caught one that was probably 10 inches the rest were 14.5 and up.
  17. Went out yesterday late morning after bagging a gobbler. A friend and I caught 5 keeper walleyes out of 18 total. Also caught 5 nice crappie, a few bass and some bluegill, Caught them all either bottom bouncing or trolling in 15-25ft. Tons of boats out.
  18. So if that fish was caught during a tourney. Could you weigh it in? It has a tracking device and additional weight to the natural weight of the fish. Just a thought :-) It is pretty cool though. Congrats to your son!
  19. Good Luck!!
  20. Very shallow. Some in less than 6 ft. All in less than 10ft.
  21. Fished for crappie near Baxter yesterday for a few hours. Only caught 7. All were keepers between 12-16in. All were caught on swimmin minnows in less than 10 feet of water. Saw several cruising just like bass and even a couple suspended around trees. The water was pretty clear. The 16incher weighed in at 2.5lbs and is one of the biggest crappie I have ever caught. I agree that they are spawning now or on the verge of it.
  22. None. I looked for them when we were walking but not as intently as I would have liked. they should be up now.
  23. I have been out all weekend with my 15 yr old daughter trying to bag a turkey. We just could not seal the deal. We did see several and she enjoyed it though. Her 19 yr old brother was in from college this weekend and accompanied us this morning. As an afterthought we threw a few rods in the truck to try some creek fishing after hunting. The fishing was excellent. Fished upper Sons Creek and caught 15 whites and several small largemouth in an hour and a half. The water was a little muddy but we had an excellent time. Fish were caught on orange roostertail and swimmin minnows. Sometimes its nice to get off the deck of the bass boat and just walk the banks and fish :-)
  24. I would second the suggestion of Danny Vasquez. He has done great work at reasonable prices on my mercury.
