  1. i would imagine that its no lower than last year, maybe higher. It would be best to get out before the big "aluminum hatch" starts.
  2. oh, fish! you got my hopes up for a second :D
  3. might want to think twice before parking at vida lane spring recreation area is open and you could also do 63 bridge, if you dont mind working downstream.
  4. have you ever floated that river during the summer on a weekend? your count would be well into the three digits.
  5. don't feel too bad Al, I've only caught one smallie this year (I'll make up for it next month from tommorrow(may))
  6. did you delete them, or i am just in bizaro land today?
  7. theres really no need to spam this topic 5 times.
  8. be careful what you call a native fish. even though largemouth bass are native to missouri, they were no where near as distributed as they are today. and these lakes are unnatural habitats, i think this whole flow issue is just the consequence of messing with nature. personally i think dams are a bad idea, look at taum sauk. thank god they didn't get the meramec.
  9. theres this section of the huzzah(i'm not going to mention specifics, either), starting about two weeks before bass kill season opens, they catch and keep everything they catch, this isn't a joke either, you can see the carcasses to prove it. But you don't mess with the locals there, my uncle used to have a cabin there, burned to the ground...
  10. are these it? (first result on google)
  11. Tailwater, So did you go last weekend? if so, how did you do?
  12. "trout season" only applies to the trout parks(maramec, bennett, mountauk, roaring river). Nothing changes on Taney and most(i think theres one trout area that has seasonal regulations) other trout areas.
  13. excellent suggestion, they require it for deer/turkey (unless you were born before 1960 something). At least this way, ignorance wouldn't be an excuse.
  14. I've been reading fox statler's posts about spinner'd minners. They look interesting so I thought i'd try 'em I got my spinners and beads today, but i don't have the synthetic mylar materials i ordered yet, so i made one out of deer hair. here it is: I can't wait to try this thing out
  15. Lolz u r teh n00b, j/k Welcome
  16. thats really scary to hear that Al. And if you don't mind me asking, exactly where around steelville was this?
