Back in the '80's MDC traded Louisiana Turkeys for Otters was turning them lose. I asked how soon we would be able to Trap them? Oh they will never get to Trapping numbers they are just a novelty. I use to Frog several Ponds in this area. Now at nights you will not hear a single Frog but see where Otters have been all around the Ponds. Yes I was fishing at Barclay when I seen 4 Otters just having fun killing fish in the hole just below the riffle. You want to see Otters at Bennett Spring State Park be there when it is flooding, they will come out of their holes and be all over the park. oneshot

But Satan is tempting me going with my wife helping her at our Sons Bingo Hall. I feel I'm tempted every where, Gambling, Alcohol, Drugs and Women. To me it is a constant fight. The only reason I go is to keep and eye on my wife driving that distance. Next couple weeks I'm not going. I told her there is more important things than working Bingo. She said she don't want to leave our Son short handed. Oh I worked my Tail off buying our first Farm. Me and my Ex got into Swinging. She decided to sell the Farm and buy a place in town so people wouldn't have to drive so far out to party. I left her after 6 months. What is bad we was married for 11 years, never even thought about cheating on her everything was good. Then it all turned around. oneshot

We lived without Electricity, Running water or a Phone for 20 years. Got Electric first thing I did was have a $1,500 Computer built for me. Got Phone was on Party Line, running water was interesting, had to run lines inside to keep them from freezing. Built the place with Chainsaw and Coleman Lantern. Before that we lived in a Tent. No on these places we was considering living there in the future but getting too many years to do without. We have lived many years without and yes we enjoyed it but we're too soft anymore. Right now we have a Cabin on Lot by COE Land with Electric and all. Fishing in the Lake mile from it and if I want I can hunt COE Land. Just not my own property. They are wanting $3,000 an acre for these places and won't go down. I do really like both but not that much. oneshot

Was considering buying property by Gainesville by Bull Shoals Lake. Was going to go down this morning and look at it. Last night it dawned on me why there wasn't Electricity on the property. Because there was no easement and I would have to pay for two miles of poles. Told my wife because of this the place was over priced. Hey I have a Cabin by Truman Lake with all I need and it is paid for. oneshot

I was Baiting and Calling on Corps Land most weighed 80 - 100 pounds but did kill one that weighed 450 pounds. My Boys helped me get him out and said I was just nuts shooting one that big with a Muzzleloader from the ground. I might add I had several Sows around me several times with Babies. The Babies were actually kind of cute but most Babies are. oneshot

Went to the river tried to catch anything. Caught one short Smallie. That was it 4 hours fishing. The river is as clear as it is going to get. oneshot

I was hunting Hogs and doing well on Corps Lands. Was told MDC was stopping hunting on Public Lands I thought well this don't bother me. Then I found they had put a stop to all Hog Hunting on Public Lands including Corps and Mark Twain National Forest Lands. Then I was told that where I had been hunting MDC had eradicated all the Hogs. Went over there Hog Numbers are same as always. MDC said they wanted me to tell them if I seen any Hogs. I told them I wouldn't if anything do my best to run them out of the area. They also told me in order to keep hunters from being in violation of Baiting Laws if they are Trapping they will close down the area. What gets me yes they went through the period of Public Input, thing is most were going by what the MDC was saying 99% of them had never hunted a Hog. One thing about it I was truthful with the MDC and told them I hoped they failed because I enjoyed hunting them and it would be stupid for me wanting them eradicated. They are paying a Team to Trap then Hunt the ones they don't get in Traps. They are using Boar Buster Traps, which can be tripped by Cell Phone anywhere in the state. oneshot

What get me they do this but State will stop any Gravel Mining out of the river. Use to be some nice holes on the river and more fish. What gets me is they say Forest Burning or gravel Mining disrupts this or that. Don't they realize this or that went through hundreds of years of disruption. Maybe disruption is the reason this or that is there. oneshot

Well I went just below the Bridge trying to catch Redhorse and all I could catch was Rainbows on 6# Test Mono and Night Crawlers. oneshot

My Mower last time I used it on Leaves it messed the Clutch up. I don't have any grass and Garden for most part is Raised Beds. My neighbor complains about Leaves blowing over on him. They are a Fire Hazard so I just go ahead blow them and burn them. I already have Suckers and Bluegill in the Refrigerator but never can really have too many. oneshot

Well I burnt until 9:30 and wind started picking up. Went to the river, it is down and very clear. I was using White and Orange Power Baits, on 6# Test Line caught one small Rainbow. Should have brought worms and fished for Suckers. oneshot

Got bunch more Leaves to burn around the House but T.V. was talking about wind tomorrow. So figured I would go to the river fishing. Looked on the Computer, it is saying not so windy. So burn Leaves. Tomorrow will step outside. Decide if I'm burning Leaves or Fishing. oneshot

Well I really want to get below a riffle, everything hangs out there but it requires taking my Boat. If not I'll just do like I have been fishing by the Parking Lot. What is funny yesterday I was fishing with 6-12 inch Leader and wasn't catching squat. Thought what is wrong? Went back to putting on Egg Sinker with small Split Shot couple inches up so the worm was on the bottom. Started catching fish. oneshot

Went to the river and caught two Redhorse and two Hog Mollies. Was wondering with they still bite good all Winter? oneshot
