We went to Forsyth picked up my Son. He took us where he had been fishing. There seems to have been misunderstanding with a Sign down there. He was telling me there was a Slot Limit?? I told him no that was way up stream other side of Branson above Fall Creek. Seems while it was raining the Fish were biting we caught a couple. Went exploring on down on BullShoals for place to camp later on in the future. Cost me $10 which is fine. Was wondering if that is COE Land North of Town is that open for Public Hunting? Oh the more I hear about Bull Shoals the more excited I get. Problem 100 miles from the House, don't really have a place to stay. Main reason for going is to spend time with my Son. Have fished Upper Taneycomo from bank, most time go up there for couple shows. Truman Lake is 75 miles from me, we have a Cabin there, 100 feet from COE Land, about 4 miles from Ramp. I do like spending time mostly Hunting but if my wife goes its fishing. 35 Miles from Pomme de Terre Lake and 5 miles from Niangua River. Drives me nuts thinking. Do have AAA that will tow 100 miles, Pickup gets 16 miles to the gallon. Fixed Income but like to have fun. This coming from a Guy when young was setting here in Missouri, figuring how much it was going to cost to drive to Salida, Colorado? $70, I had $75. Next day setting in Salida, Colorado. I know it's up to me and my decision just thinking out loud or in print. oneshot

Ok on my Catfish Rods I have #30 Cajun Line but on my Medium Action Rods I have #12 Mono, Crappie Rods #6 and #2 for Trout. Me I'm thinking for the most part I could cut back to Lighter Lines figuring I will get more bites. Am I thinking wrong? I have caught 35# fish on #12 Test. Plus considering Spyderwire or some like Line. I'm mostly using Open Face Spinning outfits. oneshot

Crappie and Bass should be good, plenty of structure in the area. That might be a problem though too much structure. I would try finding a standing Tree setting out from the rest. oneshot

I would like to see more Public Docks and less massive Crappie Beds right up to the Docks. Pain if you want to Catfish on the bottom oneshot
