  1. Planning on Sunday, 3 of us, hopefully the weather holds off till later in the day!
  2. Barr Flies - John S. Barr
  3. Sherwood, Amazon has them for $65.00, free shipping. I don't know if that is a good price though? Dave
  4. "Life is like a jar of Jalapeno peppers;

    > What you do today, might Burn Your butt Tomorrow"

  5. Alen, They look good. Question, one size fit all? Would like something which could expand as the weather cools off. Dave
  6. Kcbear, Gotcha, I think mine is a Garmin Legend, probably one model up from yours, and probably the only difference is the ability to download from the computer, not for sure though. I agree with zarraspook, your handheld will be pretty accurate when out on the water.
  7. kcbear, It has been awhile since I put those on my Garmin, but if I remember right I just hooked my handheld up to the computer and downloaded the waypoints. If I understood you right you manually entered the waypoints? Wow, that would take some time. As far as do they work yea they will get you to the structure, alot depends on the accuracy of your gps. Dave
  8. Minnowhooker, Ya using jigs or minnows? I would guess minnows, from your name. Dave
  9. What would be a good spot to put the boat in if we are going to be fishing farther down the lake than by the first bridge near the dam? From North to South: (Big Sac arm) 1. Hawker Point 2. Mutton Creek East 3. Mutton Creek West 4. Ruark Bluff
  10. Caught on the Snake river 14# test line and a worm Michelle V. Larsen-Williams 34 1/4" long 22 1/4" girth 20+ pounds
  11. RPS You are thinking of Dimitri's. Very good!! Did they have a fire before the Landing went in and never rebuilt? My father introduced me to Dimitri's went back several times after. Snagged I agree with your statement about Candlestick. The wife and I have eaten there a few times, and the food and service were good, just seems overpriced to me. FYI Ate at Rock's last trip down on Friday night and had the prime rib, excellent! I think they serve prime rib both Friday and Saturday nights.
  12. Snagged Dana's is just North of the intersection of fall creek rd and 165. There is a BIG church just to the north. They do serve beer, GOOD FOOD!
  13. traditional - Zwickey compound - Rage
  14. I purchased one of Murdoc's rods (RDP) and love it, really good looks and fishes even better.
  15. Darren, Good choice on the motor, I am sure you will like it. I upgraded from a 55# Motorguide myself, there is a lot of difference between the two, and your digital model should lengthen time on the water before your batteries need charged. Dave
  16. Darren, I bought it from Marine Repair Center. Yes it is a foot control model 24v. Freshwater series I think? It was what I was looking at from retail stores and their price was $650.00 - 700.00. I have done business with them for years and never been dissappointed. They also do repair and warranty work on trolling motors and fish finders. Check them out on the web, give them a call and see what they have available, I think they will ship also, if you don't live nearby. Dave
  17. Marine Repair Center I just picked one up the other day for $325.00. Reconditioned 70# Motorguide 5 speed, nice motor. I kept my old gatormount bracket, so price with bracket will be higher. Good people there and fair prices, 30 day warranty I believe.
  18. Depends, trout parks and/or clear water 2# green maxima, stained probably 4#. Night time on Taney I use 6-8# leader on my fly rod, I generally throw streamers at night.
  19. Sounds good! Will try it sometime. What is the easiest way to de-scale a gill??
  20. loo10, Yes, pan fried, deep fried or shrimp boiled, fish chowder, they all taste good!!!
  21. Figured it out once I found the May 11th post by Lilly. Thanks!!
  22. Got to hit the water some this past weekend. The gill fishing was on fire, surface temps in the upper 70's low 80's. Fly rod or ultra light, I love catching these things. A few pics of the fish.
  23. Admin. Can I post pics directly from my computer, or do I have to go the URL route? I have tried the direct route and it didn't work. The pic was under the 2 MB limit. Thanks, Dave
  24. Terry, Sorry to hear that, again!! I am sure something better is heading your way. Dave
  25. For bass early spring before the moss gets going, shallow crankbait, like a Mann's minus 1. Once the vegatation gets going, spinnerbait or plastic worm. For topwater, a frog colored devils horse, buzzbaits, and zara spooks are all a blast!
