  1. Me and a buddy fished below the dam Thursday evening, 2 limits of white's 13 crappie 1 walleye.
  2. Wayne this is where we do most of our grabbing when we get the water that we had this spring. I bet you could go down there right now and see lots of suckers. To bad though season is closed.
  3. Wayne they have been putting boats in there off of the gravel bars this year grabbing suckers.
  4. Wayne I should clareifie when I saw trout snagged was when the water was still running and swift, when the fish would move people grabbed thus the trout. As fore the white bass thing you are right there is no mistake. Slider
  5. The thing about snagging below a dam all fish will move up toward the dam when the spawn is going on it could be gar, spoonbill, white bass' suckers etc. If you are snagging fore gar and caught something else in my book, you are legal as long as you turn the game fish or spoonbill in this case loose. A game fish will probable not make it though. As fore the spoonbill it will go on and live, they have a length limit on them so there are short fish snagged and turned loose and I'm sure they survive. I have never snagged below the dam at Springfield lake but I would guess you are blind grabbing and you don't have any idea what you might catch, if you turn it loose I can't see why there should have been a ticket. We grabbed last week on bull creak and there is a trout snagged now and then, hate to turn them lose but it is the law. The game warden shouldn't write tickets on this but it could be looked at the same way as the spoonbill. We were leagly grabbing suckers but the trout do get in the way sometimes. I say fight this ticket to the very end. Slider
  6. That is correct.
  7. Move to the first shoal and stay until after dark throwing black, purple or blue swimming minnows or betels. We have been doing good after dark on James River.
  8. Did you see any suckers?
  9. There were 3 guys grabbing them at swan last Thursday evening.
  10. What are you doing catching those green fish that you can't eat and not cathching the white's to feed them to girls of yours???? LOL
  11. You can fish from the bank, and most of the boats just back of of the gravel bars.
  12. Fished at Bear Creek yesterday wound up with 30 something white's and 1 crappie. We caught 2 walleye both short.
  13. I used to use Maxima but switched to P-LINE it is very strong and not as pricey.
  14. Great buck. Nothing like killing your first deer with a bow. Congtats. Slider
  15. Kyle I have hunted South Dakota before and it will spoil you. Ive hunted all the pheasant states and south dakota is the very best I don't know about hunting fore an hour or not but I have limited in about 2 to 3 hours before. The best part about south dakota is if you don't have a place to hunt you can hunt the ditch line. Be sure and read the regs so your legal. Good luck and I can't wait to hear a report, my trip fell threw this year. Slider
  16. I didn't put the arrow where I really wanted to friday evening, but the final result was a button buck about 75 yards from where I shot it. Slider
  17. I was up there 2 weeks ago 1 crappie 6 whites the whites werent very big. kinda tough. If this rain gets the water back up it should pick up. Slider
  18. Bittle, me and my nephew went last night. We fished the same side as you were fishing the night I saw you there and came home with 22 white bass and 4 crappie. The whites wernt the biggest just good eater size. And you know what I caught them on I betcha.
  19. Flytyer57 You might be able to beat myself and Tightline in a spelling bee but how are you on fishing?
  20. Flytyer57 All I can say is you are a total JERK!!!!!!!!
  21. I saw the same guy that caught the new record last night and he was fishing fore strippers when he caught his. I will let him tell what he caught it on and where. But him and his crew did know what they were doing. slider
  22. Was down around Lead Hill Friday night no shad and no bites. Did manage a limit of whites at Warsaw the night before. Cooked some of them in the boat Friday so it wasnt a wasted trip. slider
  23. has not set their status

  24. Brian I was there last Thursday and saw 4 walleye caught. If they are running alot of water like they are right now you can catch walleye. I think sportshop is right before april is better but there are a few ther now also.
  25. When the whitebass are running when we get to catching them with red sores on them the run is about over. This isnt anything scientific just something we have notticed over the years. Slider
