I fish on the east side most of the time, but have friends that fish on the west side and they do about the same as we do. I think at times each side is the better bet depending on the water flow. Slider

Try a topwater from 8 till just before dark. Have been having luck on whites after dark until about midnight. I always try to fish shallow so try a small jighead, 1/32, 1/24 to a 1/16. Fish bettles or swimming minnows in dark colers. Have not been catching to many keeper crappie but have heard about others having some luck. Slider

Anybody fishing or catching anything below the dam? slider

jnorman' We didnt try on the west side but I would expect they could have been over there in the currant. It seems they shute the gates on the weekend so if your going tommorow they maybe up a running by then. Slider

Rangerman, I was up there last night also, they had closed the flood gates before we had arrived and didnt ever see the big hybrids. We did catch whites and some crappie. As fore the walleye there is no honey hole I have caught them from below the handicap dock all the way to the fence. Last night I heared of one abouve the handicap dock one of our guys caught one about middle ways and I caught one up closer to the fence. I dont know if that will help you much, the ones we have been catching have all come of of a purple beetle fished on a 1/16 head. We have been fishing about an hour before dark until around midnight or so. Slider

Vonreed had the 2 bigest fish followed by Tightline and myself. We are trying to break Vonreed in so he can drive us old men home when it gets late. I took my nephew gobblergetter to Ark. fore the first time today. We met my brother inlaw about 6:30 by 9:00 we were cleaning 60 yellow suckers. Around 11:30 we jumped in Bobby's boat in Bearcreek and at 2:00 we had our limit of 75 whites. Nothing big just small males but good eating size. Slider

As fore hotspoting most of the good spots are good year in year out. Most everybody who fishes james, swan, beaver, etc. etc. know where to go and about when to go. If it wasnt posted on this site word of mouth will tavel just as fast. I dont care to post where Im catching fish and I would like to see other people do the same. It really seems like no body wants to post much about forsyth area or warsaw. As fore bass fisherman I can understand them not telling there spots if they are a tournament fisher. But fore whites, walleye, crappie, I dont see the big deal. Just my opionion. Slider

Phil: Im sure you have heard this before, but right after you left they went to hitting the bettle preety good. All good fish. I had 9 my brother inlaw 12 and vonreed 15. I was glad there was a fire on the gravelbar I got cold and quite early and visited and warmed up. By the time I got to the top of the hill I was plenty warm!Tightline and I were talking the other day and lalfing about some of the older guys we usaed to fish with, we thought it was funny to see them stop halfway up the hill to rest. Now about 40 lbs heavier and 25 years older were the ones taking a break. Was got to meet you. slider

Me and Mekayla were out first thing this morning with no luck. We went back out this evening and she killed this Jake. The bird weighed 13 1/2 lbs. and had a 3 inch beard. It wasnt the old gobbler we had been after but she says it has a beard anyway. Slider

Just got back from the woods didnt see anything, cheked my camera and had some fox, coyote, deer and turkey pictures nothing great. I hadnt loaded all of the pictures in my computer. When I did I had looked at this picture on my viewer and thought it was just deer. but when I got a bigger picture I could make out these turkeys in the background. slider

I got this trailcam fore christmas and have been geting some pictures. When I got this I was kind of surpriesed with these turkeys strutting. This was taken right below my bowstand, wish I had been there. Maybe today! silder

I shoot a McPhearson as well when I started shooting it they were the first bow that had 75 or 80 percent letoff. Had one fore a few years and the limbs started walking out on it so I retired it and bougth another that was a lot shorter, hadnt hunted much the last 2or3 years but went back hard this year and killed 3 deer and 1 turkey with it. I think this could be just like a vehicle some like fords some like chevy. My fix is if you get used to a bow and like the performence of that bow thats the one to shoot. slider
