  1. Table Rock-have to go with the James Lake of the Ozarks-Glaize Arm Truman-Tebo Stockton-How could you not catch a big'un with a name like Big Sac Bull Shoals-Only fished the Lead Hill end so I'll go with that
  2. Whachem, nice fish. You boys need to lay off the weight room from the looks of the kisser of the toad on the right.
  3. Sam, there is a tourny out of cow creek on Friday nights. I think there is a $30 a person membership fee with the tourny costing $60 a boat including big bass. There is one this Friday and are usaully every other week. Starts at 8:00 p.m.
  4. Only managed around 9 1/2 pounds for the team also. Did not even stick around for the checks. Was wondering if they said when and where the classic was going to held.
  5. Just wondering if anyone has heard when and where the team and pro-am classic were going to be held. Thanks
  6. Bill, fished the Big M area all day Sunday. Quite side! Maybe for lack of fishermen. Never saw a bass rig go by me on the main channel all day. Now for the big rigs, they never got that memo. I don't think they even know any better. They think as long as the spray from the side of there boat doesn't hit you, they are given you plenty of room. Makes it hard to jig a spoon off a dock with 3 foot wakes hitting the side of your rig.
  7. Crappie5, fished the same area on Sunday. Fished by myself and had around 22 fish. Had a 4# LM on a c-rig early and a few other keepers on the FB jig. Around 12:30 went to jerking the spoon on the deep docks with good numbers but few keepers. Not sure on the fish surfacing but it sure is fun to catch the long ugly's every once and a while.
  8. Thanks for the quick reply. What seems to be working best.
  9. Shaner, fished the heartland a few weeks ago and like every one else flipped big worms and jigs to the brush but also had our best fish on spinnerbaits. Don't forget the square bills. Good luck.
  10. There is something about pitching into heavy cover and watching your line send a wave from the water up to your pole. It does not matter how big the fish is. Even a 12 incher feels like a wall hanger on the hook set in close quarters.
  11. Jackie D or anybody else still throwing the grub, was just wondering if you were useing the watermelons (darker colors) or the old salt & pepper (shad) colors. My wife likes to throw it and is ready to go back out and turn some heads on it. Thanks in advance.
  12. I only had a chance to get out for about an hour and that was about enough with all the boats. Fished around Big Indian. Had a good time with 13 fish and 5 keeps. The fish seemed to be biting good and schooling up. Caught 5 in 5 casts to the same spot on the C-rig. Also dropped down to pick up a few. Wish I could of stayed out longer.
  13. Tucker, the tourny you are talking about is still scheduled for 86 and will not start until you can launch there. The other tourny out of Cow Creek cost $50 plus $10 big bass. It is called the Honey Hole series.
  14. Tucker, there is a tourny series that was supposed to be going out of 86 that is now going out of Cow Creek instead due to high water. The next one is next Friday night. They are every other week. I've heard they have had trouble catching them after dark also. Hope this helps.
  15. With fish biting like they are I called it a mist out today at about 1pm.Got the boat and went out till 4:30 again. Had 5 keeps. All SM but one KY. Fish secondary points today. Water seems to be warming up day to day. It was 65.3 when I loaded up. I might have to cancel work tomorrow with a heavy dew.
  16. Hogfan, it was one of those days that everything went right. Fish were biting great. Could not wait to get one off to catch another. Greety I guess but fun. Give me a call and maybe we can hit the water.
  17. Trav, I guess I'm out of the loop about the other post but you were sitting about right to catch'em. I sometimes find windy points get shallow and throw out deep. Different look for the fish plus realistic as the wind is blowing the bait in. Just a thought. Next time put it on him.
  18. Hard to call out "LAST CAST" when there biting like that.
  19. Alot of people stay home when it rains but thats when I can go. I do excavation work so when it rains I don't. So gladly, I'm Gone Fishing. Took a co-worker today that has been out several times this year with no luck. Told him we were going to catch'em and we did. Fished from 1pm to 4:30pm from K.C. to Indian Point. Only had time to fish 4 points but caught keepers on all of them. Mostly you guessed "Swimming a Grub". Did manage keepers with C-rigs on lizards. Fish came out of 20-25 feet of water. All SM's with 1 nice KY. Had 11 in 3 hours. Sure beats WORKING.
  20. Awesome day. To think, alot of people would have stayed home do the rain but way to get after them. Were you in the Knob area. Come on now "HOW MANY". I'll beleive you.
  21. Way to go. Were you out on the points dragging a rig/split shot or shaking them up.
  22. Thanks for the report lilley. Any ideas how they were catching them.
  23. Today was my first day on the Rock in 2 weeks. Thanks to the forum it was like I fished every day. Fished from K.C. to the Dam. Fished alone with 21 fish total and 14 good keepers,KY'S and SM Jaws. For me it was a good day on the water. Caught them on SB's, grubs, C'rigs, and FB jigs. Like the guys said, catch 1, stay hooked on the spot. I caught 6 keepers in 6 casts to the same spot. That was fun. Again thanks Bill, Don, Eric, and every one else posting reports. Sure helps out the weekend angler. Good Fishing
  24. I'm sure many of the eggs don't make it. But the point I'm trying to make is, if the pulling a fish off the bed is so hard on the lake, maybe we should not fish with in casting distance of the bank. Maybe even shut down the lake during the spawn. After all, we saw with all the sight fishing going on in years past how damaged the lake is with it ONLY taken 25lbs to win the Heartland and reading of all the quality and numbers of fish being caught on here. Just my 2 cents. Like I said, I have never fished for a fish off the bed, but just like most of you I'm sure I am guilty of catching a fish off of one.
  25. I know this will make alot of people mad but here goes. I do not target bed fish either but with the lake produceing record weights with tons of fish in the latest tourneys and people catching fish off beds in years past whats it hurting. Is it not the same thing catching a fish out staging to spawn as it is off the nest. Again not trying to make any one mad but fishing just seems to be getting better.
