  1. I think if they would just put a 12 inch limit on spots, the largemouth and smallmouth populations would take care of themselves.
  2. I don't think they have actually had much winter draw down lately.
  3. I think you'll have a hard time getting anything electronic fixed after three years.
  4. Cape Fair or Bridgeport area?
  5. It can vary a lot from day to day right now. Went last Wednesday caught only a few small fish. Thursday my partner went again, caught some really nice fish from the same banks we fished Wednesday.
  6. Just ordered a GX 207 yesterday from www.airbrushcity.com. It's gravity feed, comes with hose and three tips closeout price $40.00, a lot of my buddies use this gun.
  7. I'm still using a Pro-Logic bag I purchased in 1994 or 95, Plano has bought the company now.

You went fishing on a Tuesday and didn''t call me!!! Now I'm torqued. Nice fish Jeremy.
  9. I think I read that one of the drivers has been previously in another collision during a tournament.
  10. If you can't see your dropshot it's probably a boat positioning problem, not adjustments on the Sonar. You need to work into the wind ALWAYS, and the bait needs to drop down into the cone of the transducer.
  11. Congrats and good luck! I've been on Fork when the wolf packs are feeding up for winter.
  12. BPS makes a tiny tungsten spoon that I like this time of year, it's only about 1/2 to 3/4 inch long and weighs 3/4 ounce, I think.
  13. I was around Devils Back Bone, in a pontoon boat Sunday afternoon. Glad I could add to the spice of your day. I heard the cigerette boat coming, though I was back in Florida.
  14. I don't think braid has any effect on a quality guide.
  15. I don't think they are any more common in that area than any other on the lake. I've seen more cottonmouth in Flat Creek than any where else. However, the biggest cottonmouth I've ever seen was crossing a cove just above the mouth of Kings River on the White.
  16. The thing to ALWAYS remember about this strange regulation out of the LR district is that after several public meetings, The official regulations that was published is not what was discussed and agreed upon in the public meetings. It's getting to where you can't trust government in any form anymore.
  17. I think under the "corp" rules passed last year any dock that has rented slips is considered a commercial dock. It's also not just fishing that is prohibited around "commercial docks" all recreation is prohibited, so if you see someone swimming off a commercial dock, I like to go tell the owner he has to stop his customers from swimming or I'm calling the Corp on him.
  18. I've seen more cottonmouth the last few years than I ever have. There have always been a few in Flat Creek, I used to see one occasionally when I fished it as a kid and granddad talked about cows getting bit by them. However, two years ago I was idling into a long cut on the White, above the mouth of Kings River. I noticed something swimming across the cut throwing a good size wake, curious I motored up to see what it was. I lived and fished in Florida for about ten years and this cottonmouth was larger than anything I ever saw down there. It must have been close to five feet long and looked as big around as my leg.
  19. I found them around the same temps and depth Friday above Shell Knob. Didn't have a shakey head, but would eat the Eakins jig I was dragging.
  20. I'd ask them what circuit, I've never seen a "pro" type tournament that trailering was allowed. I'd also expect this team to be the cause of any problems during the tournament.
  21. Forecast is for lots of sun next week, plus this rain is warmer than the snow run-off, so I'm hoping for a fast warm up of the rising dirty water.
  22. Fluorescent yellow ribbons and matching hats, sounds good to me.
  23. I'm no pro but I'll never go back to a fiberglass rod for crankbaits. I've fished three graphite crankbait rods for at least the last ten years and can really think of only a couple of missed fish. I know I've got guite a few over four in that were just skin hooked. The action of the rod is much more important than the material.
  24. I'd like to add my thanks also, I've been trying to see Mike's seminar for a couple of years, it just never worked out. Was great to have the Hummingbird representative and see the side imaging. You are really doing the fishermen of the area a service with these great events. Thanks!
  25. I've had good luck with my Pro-Guides, very good batteries for the price.
