  1. now now...,,,no need to get testy.....let me ask, do you party at said no-wake bar?...do you work for Branson's jet boat tour? or have a vested interest in ether? or related to ????? Snowflakes biteing off too much
  2. Pehaps we can have a Carrington Event and have the outdoors to our-selfs, probably should stockpile some tackle 1st.... the "people" who cause the problems will be the 1st to go in an apocalypse https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_storm_of_1859
  3. I think Ill be sick Residents Sue US Government Over Bald Eagles’ Nest......The group’s attorney, David Webster, says Fish and Wildlife, in particular, did not act properly. “They should have required a permit,” he says. “They just sent a letter saying, ‘You can go ahead and construct.’” https://www.washingtonian.com/2016/11/15/manassas-virginia-residents-sue-us-government-over-bald-eagles-nest/ Although eagles were removed from the endangered species list in 2007, they are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and as the national bird under the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. Law requires a permit to remove or kill an eagle, or to disturb it to the point that it abandons its nest or changes its nesting behavior. The group’s attorney, David Webster, if I remember correctly is the Oldest son of William L. Webster, Bill was born and raised in Carthage, Missouri and was a graduate of Carthage Senior High School and Attended MSSU and University of Kansas, He received his law degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. As a note Webster was/is an outdoorsman attended roaring river opening days..ETC.. ETC Prob an option but I bet it gets way cheaper when litigation is in play...... I beg to differ!!! Many that I talk too are not happy with a noisy bar on the lake... Complete with drunks/drugs/trash/etc that comes from business of that sort. Suggesting that is like saying LOZ has no issues with boat wakes.....ones playbook to seek an ends to a means includes litigation....
  4. yeah, but def a place to have on your bucket list!.....apparently the things get huge on mice!
  5. Great you won't be fishing more for me! chick???? mmmmm better check the plumbing...these days it might be another Caitlyn...
  6. those fish a tough, next one I wouldn't hold it by the gills if you release it...that being said of all fish prob be ok..once had 2 in back of a truck bed on a rainy day 45 minutes back home....but them in the creek behind the house....( had a lil swiming spot damed up) put them in to keep them cool before we clean them, and a heck of a time catching them again..they not only still alive but frisky!
  7. HOLY COW!......I wonder if I can retire there?
  8. Missouri boat noise law Boats built on 1/1/96 or later must not exceed a noise level of 90 dBA when stationary at idle and measured from a distance of 3 feet, and; all motorboats must not exceed a noise level of 86 dBA when measured from a distance of 50 feet.
  9. This one the girl ...."can't wait to get wasted"
  10. MAN!!!!!!
  11. I SMELL A LAWSUIT......https://www.fws.gov/midwest/eagle/conservation/recreation.html Bald Eagle Conservation Measures Measures to Avoid Disturbing Nesting Bald Eagles During Recreational Activities None of these activities will disturb eagles if conducted during the non-nesting season. In the upper Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin) the nesting season is generally from late January through late July and the non-nesting season is from August through mid-January. The following measures only pertain to the nesting season. See the Bald Eagle Natural History and Sensitivity to Human Activity document for additional information. Non-motorized recreation and human entry (including hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, canoeing) Off-road vehicle use (including snowmobiles) Motorized watercraft use (including jet skis/personal watercraft) (1) Do not operate jet skis (personal watercraft) or airboats within 330 feet (100 meters) of the nest, (2) Avoid concentrations of noisy vessels (e.g. commercial fishing boats and tour boats) within 330 feet (100 meters) of the nest, except where eagles have demonstrated tolerance for such activity, and (3) For all motorized boat traffic within 330 feet (100 meters) of the nest, minimize trips and avoid stopping in the area, particularly where eagles are unaccustomed to boat traffic.
  12. Drunks and boats/lake don't mix well....as far as demographics looks like the LOZ and casino crowd....perhaps if the pic you posted is the size crowds they have, I won't have to worry about them saying in business long...... "The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has the responsibility for managing approximately 61,000 acres of land and water at Stockton Lake. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) assists the Corps by managing 16,572 acres under a lease agreement. Land management practices used by the Corps of Engineers and MDC are engineered to preserve their natural value."
  13. Its a sad state of affairs, single moms...dads are lucky to see Jr on weekends......less disposable income for hobbies....
  14. I know lots swear by it.......I would use what ever works best.....at least for my fishing, I use Braid for hook links in my carp fishing the soft feel is more important, cats as well seem to respond better to braid....I have fished roaring river with buds who try braid there but get waxed by mono or fluro....if I flipped, or dragged a rat over weeds i'd prob use braid. Braid seems to be hard on rods,....most of my non-carp fishing is 6-4-2 pound test 8 is heavy for me, Carp 20# big game with 10" of 65 power pro green braid, a big carp will make long fast runs, most waters I fish are rocky, braid seems to get nicked up more than mono......at night I go florescent mono and black light....
  15. do a test, fish 2 people in the boat, one using green mono other using hi-vis braid, same lure, trade spots out every hour, my vote is mono......
  16. not my kids......they were Giving a jet boat tour in WISCONSIN
  17. This is what runs people off Stockton, have no idea what lang they are speaking
  18. yeah found this.... kinda like a UK buddy bass tourney..... money changing hands https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9V41F9sMGk
  19. I don't mind sharing, kinda like a port pot..its all cool when 5 people take a dump...but it becomes something else when 100 drop said duce Having live longer gives those of us more insight, we watch as fads come and go, hair styles, cloths fashion change, we look back at what WAS cool and laugh at it. I didn't invent the term..but fits eh???? "Snowflake Generation", is a neologistic term used to characterize the young adults of the 2010s as being more prone to taking offence and less resilient than previous generations, or as being too emotionally vulnerable to cope with views that challenge their own."*** https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_Snowflake*** Perhaps we need a "safe space" here on OAF????
  20. No large reservoir was built for fishing, Usually impounding a river/stream for water supply/flood control..as was Stockton, yet its managed differently than many Missouri Impoundments. "It has a "non-development policy," and is surrounded by unspoiled, tree-covered hills. Its banks are owned and operated by the Army Corps of Engineers."** ** https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockton_Lake The bar party demographic?????? That is the year population grew Exponentially http://population.us/mo/ozark/
  21. I think I saw that a perfect round "pond"??????? caught so merging called tench and roach....I think they used to sell those roach things for minnows once
