  1. I think a contest of twenty anglers chasing several species for the title worlds best angler 10 events scattered across the USA only the biggest 4 fish count per species 2 largemouth events,1 smallmouth, 1 Coastal red fish, 1 walleye, 1 crappie, one carp ( from the bank) two trout ( one wade fly fishing)one muskie, Would be interesting only keep the top 10 anglers after 5 events. Last 5 events would be fly trout, bank carp, muskie, bass, walleye. Point system on where you finish. Per event could have the events mostly in the Midwest, I wonder what current anglers could hang? Some would do well on bass , walleye even crappie, but would from the ball on fly trout, and carp, muskie would be a killer, might have to push it just to get footage, chunking big plugs or bucktails would be a physical nightmare.
  2. These are cool, I’d imagine come in handy loading stuff to you boat parked in its slip, or carry your yak to that long hike farm pond
  3. The majority of court cases side with the floaters at least that what that article seems to state. Being good caretakers goes along way of. Doing good pr
  4. $$$$$$$$$$$$ buhahaha
  5. If I remember correctly “ brexit “ was a harbinger of the last presidential election, bet you were crying on Election night, bet you will be crying at the $$$ to be made treating carp as a sport fish vs the ludicrous amounts of money spent on eradicating a fish that in 90% of USA waters are Benign or a critical part of the food chain Make America Carpfishmen Again
  6. In my lifetime access has been shrinking, from outright closure to bridge crossings designed to eliminate the ability to get to the water and make parking all but impossible, many places I wade or float fished are not accessible anymore. This forces more pressure on the areas that are, pressure = worse fishing.... do not see that changing anytime soon.
  7. Two last year, 18 pending 🤫 nothing is more satisfying than blind siding adversaries

  11. Blackfoot in Idaho is a place many travel to for carp fishing
  12. Think fly fishing for carp isn’t exploding? https://www.americanangler.com/carp-craze-goes-west/2/
  13. In the EU they are not secretive, it’s here in the states because of people like in the article we keep catch locations private or shared with people who are heavily vetted https://www.miltonkeynes.co.uk/sport/more-sport/no-carping-around-in-milton-keynes-1-8937196
  14. Well depends if you go by what defines regulations in Missouri, then fish like sunfish are not “game fish” the true definition is sportfish which common carp are by definition “sportfish”
  15. White tail deer are considered invasive https://www.outdoorlife.com/articles/hunting/2016/02/embracing-9-non-native-and-invasive-species-we-love-hunt-and-fish
  16. Been Down this path before stripers, brown trout, rainbow trout, muskies are all non native, and largemouth bass is on the invasive species list as one of the worst, west of the Rockies they are responsible for major extinctions of multiple fish and amphibians. the point of this whole post is a bfer who guides got busted shooting fish where he shouldn’t seems to be s trend of “ guides “ taking clients to places to harvest fish and game that do not allow such activities https://www.espn.com/outdoors/general/columns/story?columnist=schultz_ken&page=g_col_Schultz_the-invasive-bass
  17. Yes! Used a buzzbait on a length of 40# power pro, used it to drag it around weeds at night, was a blast! caught bass from 3 to 5 pounds no other way to have fished it, the weeds had pockets behind them rock bottom with a couple feet of water that they didn’t grow (see pic of weeds) bass had moved in at night .to chase anything they could catch, was fun battling the fish short 10 inch length of line, the flex of the pole jaws great at absorbing the fight.
  18. A few people agree with me, you might see some familiar faces
  19. Perhaps now, but from a business sense, the kayak fishing has been exploding, Why? Cost... you can go full kit ‘yackin for a fraction of what it cost to get into blast n cast...consequently euro carping is also pretty easy to get into cost wise...in our group we hear after catching carp, it’s hard to go back to bass fishing, catching 1#ers with the best fish of the day a 3#er, it’s not hard to beat that most days carping...our guys still fish for many different species... but when you hook that 1st truly big carp, and it rips off a long run = to a truck tire rolling down a hill...your hooked! as far as ugly...nah some carp are beautiful
  20. You are entitled to your opinion, but common carp are the worlds most popular sport fish with over $10 billion ( depending on exchange rate) spent every year...as far as fight no bass can compare to the fight of a common carp, a nice bass is 4 - 5 pounds and 10# fish is exceptional...but those are dinks in the carp world, a standard bass reel can get shelled out after a season carping...many states now promote carping complete with special regulations to maintain trophy fish populations.
  21. Packs great kinda the new thing
  22. Bet you didn’t do the reading assignments in school ether 🙄 it would be like entering a bass tournament on TR with a fish caught in a catch and release lake in Florida
  23. Half the fun is having cool stuff that works great looks cool. Hello packs compact and nice
