  1. 19th CARP FISHING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN LAKE DESEDA - KAPOSVÁR - Hungary, September 20 - 23 , 2017 Sharing the experiences of team USA! http://www.cwc2017.com/news/2017-03-16/fishing-rules-of-deseda
  2. I think C&R on smallmouth in Ozark streams year round would be awesome!
  3. for most species with planning the answer is yes! critters like Muskies can be problematic but even in a boat for most people, they are not something you catch 30 in a day! One thing I found when I started euro fishing, because its a bank bound affair you have to plan, water craft, the understanding of what going on under the water in front of your swim is of Uber importance, being bank bound does have some advantages over a boat..stealth..fish that are naturally wary become BIG fish...methods of chumming to draw fish in, the right gear, etc will make your job easier. Huge brown Trout are suckers for dead baiting, using "quick strike" rigs allow fish to be hooked to be released unharmed. hair rigging a spring like found on a dough ball treble hook is deadly for rainbows on Taney, just pull them off with pliers. Power bait works awesome that way, and far less likely to gut hook the fish. when we get wind ripping in the fall, White Bass can stack up on shad blown to the bank, a classic pattern on Stockton, netting shad, keeping them on ice then tossing in a few will catch you some monster whites. You will pick up bonus bass and walleyes that way...warmer November days with a strong SW wind make waves crashing into rocky no nothing banks, with fish in just inches of water...you fish from 5 feet out to right on the bank....casting to the left and right of you will land more fish that chunking to deeper water!..big rooster tails. small buzz baits with a stinger hook will at times be hot and heavy..a dead bait a cast length out in about 5-6 foot from the bank, with a fresh killed shad will land the biggest fish.
  4. below Truman dam... is Great place to get a few buffs for the pot late feb-early march, I! don't euro there as its less effective than big jigs and jigging slab spoons, when the waters not running a bit of chum works wonders..beware though you will draw a crowd, as a note in Oklahoma you are only allowed 1 black buff a day, and you must report it.....it seems they are getting a might thin there wonder why?
  5. Its good you eat dinks....but then again fish like this are not so easy to fool if you can land one of these bad boys on your Zebco 33 you might need more than one bowl The young man with the two monsters is Texas Buffalo guide Austin Anderson, the older fellow is a buddy of mine Englishman Keith Thompson of Austin , Texas
  6. Big redhorse are a blast to catch in the spring
  7. Thats a huge one!

  13. Here some Bfing bass in the good ol USA...its legal in some states
  14. well if your ever in south Africa you can help them with their invasive species,,just watch out for crocs!
  15. who said we were alone?
  16. those pics are legit perhaps when I go fishing in a bit Ill hold up a news paper for yah.....those are boiled "hemp seed" no carp don't get a buzz eating them..its the kind they squeeze hemp oil out of..they are sterilized before they are bagged and sold for bird food, health snacks etc..it is supposed that they think they are snails.... never tasted a snail or boiled hemp..but fish go gaga for them...trout pick up our fake maze flavored with the stuff....the few times I have fished Taney or TR at Roaring river Trout can be a nuisance...most time using hemp you catch a nice trout or 3...usually no dinks my brother caught a 6# rainbow that way..he was like
  17. before you as the answer is NO!..only thing Ill divulge is that its somewhere on Taney,.... BTW trout won't leave theses alone!
  18. heres a couple the Bfers missed from last Saturday , 21 and 23 right here in OAF territory my buddy drives down regularly to fish,.... I am sure you have seen us, just don't notice us....thats by design, lest we get our best honey holes shot up!..camo bait buckets olive drab gear are that way for a reason,.. small carp can be easy to catch sometimes, but larger fish over 20# are not so much..the challenge one of the reasons people carp fish as far as digging worms..never used dug worms for carp..don't like using maggots ether....way to many non-target fish, prob our biggest issue here in the states...
  19. Otters can clean out areas of river, fish LEAVE the areas to avoid being eaten!....so Otters that hang out in hole or two will munch on the fish they catch, the fish who are good at evading will live...if they are an issue in your area TRAP the buggers! sell the hides as a bonus..as a note nature isn't always in balance she get in balance in cruel harsh ways, sickness, and starvation..boom and bust are normal in the natural world.....its when the fishing is in its bust cycle, the otters move to greener pastures...while your fave stretch of river or creek has sucky fishing for a while....
  20. here a quacker eating a zebra mussel
  21. I find it interesting that the fishing was pretty good until in that watershed and I quote "After the Illinois River hosted three Bassmaster SuperStars events (1993-95), its bass fishery steadily declined." I am sure common carp were there and have been since 1877...grass carp at least 20 years.... Hypothesizing...I would surmise the publicity brought extra harvest pressure this is why the fishing has declined... classic historical scenarios repeated.....fisheries decline because of over harvest and habitat degradation. from what my research is showing there is a major problem with traditional game/food fishes ending up for sale in places like Chicago...we have those issues with spoonbill here in Missouri, and I understand there is a legal market for Largemouth in Chicago Asian Markets....Below Truman dam in Missouri there was several catfish operations funneling the big blue cats to fish markets in Kansas City, one fishing team converted a school bus to a camper complete with 2 full sized chest freezers run by a generator.. I pointed it out to a CO who had checked my permit, I asked him why they didn't do something about it? he looked puzzled...I explained; blues avg about 25# at that time, each fisherman could limit out and freeze his catch and get another limit before they broke any regs...he said he had checked them and they were legal..I said yes today the are.. ..but they have been here for at least 3 or four days this week, I was fishing and watched them limit out everyday...I don't know about you but, if you ate a pound of catfish a day..every day..you couldn't eat it all..they were set up to sell catfish to KC fish markets .... .and they have decimated the fishery below Truman dam have not seen a string of 70# in over 20 years now......regs have been changed, ..but because of harvest the fishery isn't what it once was..same story different place...
