  1. Nice Rainbow! Did Monty keep the fish?
  2. Yup. Henry's alive and doing well. Normally ole one eye George hangs nearbly. Didn't see George though, hope he's ok.
  3. Was able to get a pic of this guy. You can see what he took.
  4. Dittos. After having a tick disease, several doctors told me to never use your fingers. For sure don’t crush them with your fingers!
  5. Thanks, I guess the Labadie power plant must be close just down stream? Maybe I will see you there sometime this year...maybe Nov.
  6. I believe you, I'll have to check this out. I've never been on the Missouri River. I'm near the Eureka exit on 44 so is the closest ramp for me going to be around the bridge somewhere near Washington? Looks like my River Pro will be visiting the mighty Mo.
  7. I very strongly agree. I have never taken the opportunity to stop by your shop, mainly because I’m hammer down on my way to Taney from High Ridge. I do plan to stop by soon, on upcoming vacation.
  8. Remember, no one can make you angry without your consent.
  9. I'd be spending your money so here's a suggestion for what it's worth. Would you consider two categories? The big fish would probably be a Brown, so how about a biggest Rainbow and biggest Brown? Just an idea, IMHO.
  10. Thanks for another great report!
  11. I have seen the same on other waters and I have spoke to Water Patrol about it. Water Patrol said to gather as much information as possible. Take pictures, a description, registration numbers etc. and contact Water Patrol.
  12. I spotted this for what it was because of a previous post. You must have a boring life.

    Trout Portrait

Awesome pic! Love those Pentax cameras.
  14. I've found White's down from George Winter Park in high water events on the Meramac River. But that's a river that flows to the Mississippi. Caught 'em on Wiggle Warts.
  15. Glad you had a happy birthday, and happy catching! By boat I always fish up in the Trophy area, I think I will start looking downstream. Nice trout and big Smallies, ya can't beat that!
  16. I was thinking the same thing! Seems like I've seen other hot looking ladies guiding up there. Didn't Cindy Garrison get her start up there as a fly fishing guide? Does your place have guides like these?
  17. I was surprised to find hoards of Rainbow fingerlings throughout the whole park! I made a complete lap around the park, and found them everywhere. They make it difficult, but not impossible to catch a decent sized fish. Probably one of the best chances to catch a larger fish is to get there early to catch a stupid fresh stocker. I tried to spot fish a few of the bigger fish, but the fingerlings would grab it from in front of their nose! I caught a few bigger fish by fishing really deep, with bigger flies. I should have looked for some hatchery folk to ask what happened, but didn't. Anyone have a clue?

    Broke A Rib

I feel your pain. Been there. PRAY you don't have to sneeze!!!
  19. I agree. Hope to see you set a new record for Arkansas!
  20. Thanks Phil, I didn’t know that. One can learn something new every day. I believe there is another exception to the limit rule other than trout parks. Seems like I read and update to the Red ribboned trophy trout water below Meramec Spring Park. Once you keep a limit of trout, you can’t catch and release in the Trophy area, even if you are so called fishing for another species. I could be wrong. I’ve been searching for that specific rule and can’t find it. A tip of the hat and humble apology to Fly Guy for questioning what he was doing, but I’m still glad for posting. Otherwise I wouldn’t have learned something new to me.
  21. Before Memorial day and after Labor day is the rule to peace on the rivers. Late Sept ought to be fine.
  22. Sounds good. My new ride is a River Pro Low Pro 186.
  23. Have you been jetting on local rivers?
  24. My feelings exactly!
