  1. I Flagged the course, oh well I guess I don't know trout. I'll take luck over skill anytime.
  2. Saltwater- a Tarpon fishing with "Bouncer" out of Miami. Tailwater- The 17lb Male Brown in my Avatar. Ozark stream-The awesome Smallie on my profile page while fishing with the Smallie Guru.
  3. I would only be able to guess, sometimes the spring water takes a few days to get cloudy after rains. Give us a report if you go.
  4. That was cool. Well done!
  5. Matt, Thanks for your “Photo Essay: North Fork Of The White River”. It’s been too many years for me since I floated and fished that water. I’m due for a trip. It looks like you were in very good company too! I haven’t had the pleasure to meet Brian yet, but when I stop by Feather-Craft I always look for Evan Muskopff. Evan’s a great guy, and a valuable asset to the store. With Evan’s help, I’ve been able to improve my fly fishing a notch or two! Tight Lines, Bruce
  6. Don't forget the CLA's from Ross.
  7. I trust my potential fish of a life time to the Ross Vexsis reels.
  8. Yeah, she was fought for an extended period of time; the dude didn't have a net. She was kept out of the water for an extended period of time while his girl friend went to their car for a camera, THEN the photo's . When he released the big girl she went belly up. I walked over there and at least he stayed with her until she could swim. I kept an eye on her for awhile. Folks. Don't fight them too long, carry a net, and your camera on ya. A quick as possible fight, get the camera ready while the fish is in the water, a quick pic, and right back in the water! Stay with them with the fish in your net until they are fully revived. Please. Tippet I carry during C&R is 6X, 5X, 4X, 3X.
  9. Hey Trizkid, I saw the big boy again today. No luck.He wasn't feeding, only cruising around. This ones gonna be tough. That's why he's so big. Very hard to spot too! I did catch two lunkers though a 21 & 22 inchers. PM sent.
  10. Welcome. You can learn to fly fish in an afternoon. You can spend the rest of your life time perfecting it.
  11. That male 'Bow was huge! But not at big as that male 'bow you barely missed at Taney a few weeks back! The biggest I've ever seen in the park. A real toad! I've gotta get my hands on that fish.
  12. I hate to hear that, especially since it comes from the winter Smallie guru.
  13. FFM, Nice fish! Thanks for the report. There is a particular section of zone 3 that is; I think the most scenic in the park.
  14. Congratulations Grandpa Bob!
  15. A little rain won't hurt those fish, they're already wet! Lets hope they throw in some good ones. After the past seasons fishing conditions, I wouldn't get the hopes up too high. There's always some nice Smallies in there this time of year. OOPS, I didn't say that.
  16. Congratulations George! Leonard’s bugs rule don’t they?
  17. Mega Ditto's One guess where he came up with that. We would NOT be caught on the water without them! I know that we have had hooked them up on Daiichi's when the TMC's wouldn't have.
  18. I go to Feather-Craft. Ed Story helped me get started years ago. I stop by Hargroves in occasion. Nice Guys, but they never have what I need. I drive over to Feather-Craft and they have it! Very knowledgeable staff too!
  19. Very nice report. It was good to hello to you and "MC" a few weeks back!
  20. It is bothersome to see just how many people were using tippets that were way too light, and not even carrying a net! This is a combination which spells death to many trophy fish. Many times I offered to net or lend my net to someone to be turned down, and in some cases nasty remarks. I ended up watching these fish dragged up on the bank for extended periods of time, or see the fisherman insert their fingers into the gill plate, resulting in bleeding gills. The next day you find them downstream belly up, a sad end for a trophy. I don’t care what rig you are fishing, sooner or later you will snag a fish. If your lines too light, and/or you have no net, please break them off. If you have a heavy rig and a net and think you can get them in quick, and clean them of the hooks, do it. Ok, I'm off the soap box, but I just had to.
  21. I'm already looking forward to next year!
  22. Mr Duffield, It was good to see you out on the water. Every time I saw your boat, someone had a fish on! Glad you had a good one. tight lines, Bruce
  23. Yes, testing flood gates! A few more.
