  1. The Taney two step. I wish it would become illegal in Mo as the act is in other states.
  2. I did not vote because I did not see the appropriate choice. I fish because fishing is an expression of my very soul.
  3. Trout Bum, Bass Bum

  4. Yes those sound like the Browns we caught, did release one girl about 15". Maybe we we catching the same stupid white all the time, he sure likes your jigs! We really enjoyed another great week at Lilley's Landing.
  5. Phil, your report pretty well sums up my take on the conditions. We did find the catching very good. Outstanding Rainbows, strong fat and full of fight.Toss in some Browns,...and... I caught several whites out of outlet #1 myself, 2 yesterday, one this afternoon. We saw a few big rainbows in outlet #1.
  6. John, Search this website for posts from Zipstick, aka the Smallie Guru. Also posts by Al Agnew. The answers to all your questions will vary depending on time of year, river level and conditions. Good Luck
  7. Wow, you are running a prop on a boat of that size? In that area? IMO it's just a matter of time until you are going to say good bye to your prop and or lower unit. When the river reaches the normal summer levels...watch out!!! That's a real nice boat you have. You would be safer down from Valley Park or G. Winter. I've run across schools of Whites around G.Winter. To answer your question, down to the Allenton ramp is the best Bass fishing for that stretch of river. I have caught decent Smallie's, Spots, and Largemouth Bass. Yes there is better Bass fishing upstream. Here's realtime river data for the area, http://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?site_no=07019000 Be careful. Good Luck
  8. Ignore the bad behavior, it will go away.
  9. Thanks Gator, Will I see the Gator at Lilley's week after next? My Granddaughter loves to fish...I wonder how that happened? Mira doing it all by herself! Check out the cool fishing shades!
  10. Just finished a week on the water with my Son & Daughter and grand kids. A great time was had by all, especially by Grandpa. The best fish of this trip was this 23 1/2" X 14" Prom Queen. Post Spawn. I would have loved to see her pre spawn!
  11. I strongly agree about the Falcon T7Cara CC-5-1610-S The rod is a 6'10" split grip finess jig special. My go to rod. My next choice for less money is the Falcon Eakins Jig Special Lowrider XG.
  12. You are right there Al. I have a great view of Forest 44 right out my front door. We have many wonderful snakes here. Mostly Black snakes, Garter snakes, Hog nose snakes, and Copperheads. I've only encountered a few rattlers. All are welcome in my domain. They won't bother us, I've never encountered an aggressive Copperhead, unless they are shedding and can't see. Even then they don't strike to actually inject venom. Only to threaten. I just wish those Black snakes would leave my Blue Birds alone. I think I've finally figured out how to make my Blue Bird houses Blake Snake, Raccoon, and cat proof!
  13. I just picked up a Falcon Eakins Jig Special Lowrider XG rod at Denny Dennis in Fenton for 20% off!!!!! All fishing gear 20% off ending today!!!
  14. Thanks for the heads up! I need to re-stock, perfect timing!
  15. Hi Rick, Welcome from High Ridge. You should be able to take care of those addictions here.
  16. Way to go! what a great day. I hope you leave a few for me during my stay at Lilley's in a couple weeks.
  17. Quite an adventure, and as always a great post to read. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Nick Thanks again for the schooling. What a time those two days were, great weather, good company, and awesome fishing. Here are a couple more pics for the folks. Note the one pic shows the Guru's real secret. He brought along his Smallie Pointer.
  19. I love this coloration of this one. Thanks Guru.
  20. Wow. Awesome report. I will be at your place for a week in May! Or maybe sooner...
  21. Been there, done that, recently.
  22. Mega Ditto's, A big Thank You!
  23. Bman

    Wow Big Fish

Thanks for the information. They really seem to have a taste for Crawfish, every time I catch on it's on a jig & trailer.
  24. Hey Phil, Keep'em going for me 'till I get down there at your place for my week's stay! Looking forward to it. Gatorjet, I will be looking forward to meeting you again. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
  25. Al, My son and I were out yesterday as well, and experienced the same results. I don't feel so bad now, it's comforting to hear the Pros were struggling as well. I thought that our problem was that we were fishing in the Guru's tracks. Better luck next time!
