  1. GNS, there is a difference in the 2 passes, you may want to invest another $10 for the National Parks and Federal Reservation Lands pass if you visit the National parks, admittance for your car and passengers is free. Hope this helps. Duck
  2. Champ, I have a life time National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Pass I bought when I turned 62 for I think 15$, it lets me in to any National Park free and my pass for any Corps lake is $15 a year. Check it out. Duck

Champ, you will be glad to hear that everything is all ok at Sweetwater except for the clowns, they all got recalled back to D.C.
  4. First cast out of Sweetlwater at 6:20 with no fog, water temp at beginning 75 at 11:30 when we call it a day 78. Total of 15 with 2 would be keeps, 4 on spinnerbaits, 2 on top water, 3 on jigs, and 6 on drop shot. Really tough with blue bird skies and light wind. Good luck, Duck.

Do fishfinders go bad with age? I put a new transducer on and I still can't see what I did when it was newer. Thanks, Duck.

  7. Launched at Sweetwater at 6:15 and worked many different areas down to the White, off at 11:30. Total of 20 with 2 would be keeps, 12 on WE Spinnerbait in Mouse, 6 on drop shot PBJ worm, 2 on watermelon jig with PBJ trailer. Water temp 75-78. Got to love this weather Hope you all realize when I report it is a combination count from me and my brother-in-law Craig. . Good fishin. Duck.
  8. Thought there would be bad fog so we did not put in until 6:45, could have done it at day break with little fog. Had 14 blacks by 8:30 on Zara Spook Jr, Pop-R, and Spinnerbait with one nice keep. 8:30 the sun blasted out and the switch turned off, managed 3 more non keeps on jigs. Tried drop shot with no takes. Bait galore every where. Water temp 75-78. Be careful launching, the ramp needs work. What a pretty day on the Rock. Going again Wednesday. Good Fishin, Duck.

Can I ask what area of TR was the skunk. Better days ahead. Duck
  13. Yes the flood down Butler Creek was real bad, besides the old railroad bridge supports it took out the Rail Road Winery, and nearly killed a lady when her car was swept away. Worst I have seen, I have been coming down here since 1976. I have spotted one of the timbers buy the railway bridge in Beaver town but that was weeks ago. Keep you eyes open up that way. Duck
  14. 2.2 Merc is sold, thanks Wettinline, Duck.
  15. I have a Mercury 2.2 that ran great the last time I used it 10 years ago. It has a Macks Troling motor saver on it. Located in Holiday Island Ark.
  16. We also has a rough morning, took Bill's report to heart and put in at Eagle Rock where the fog was pea soup and we has to stay close till 8:30 then it was blue bird skies. Fished flats in 20-30 foot of water, bait was everywhere but few fish around them and those that were must have been full of the bait because they did not want our jigs or DS. Ended up with 6 blacks ( 2 very nice would be keeps). Will hit it again soon. Good fishin, Duck.
  17. Anyone want to give me a BO on this reload stuff.
  18. On the water at 6:15 off at 10 to keep the brides happy. Very tough for us with only 6 in the boat all non keepers, missed 4 others, thought we had good hook sets but I guess not. Half on DS other half on jig with 4 inch hula grub. Think we saw you early Quillback and was gonna yell at you later but I think you moved down lake. We were in the yellow Bullet and gave you a big wave. What wonderful weather. Good fishin, Duck.

    Butler Creek

I assume you will be coming on 62, if there are no signs at 187 I am sure its open and passable. If I hear anything either way I will post it here for you. Duck

    Butler Creek

They reopened the bridge but I would check for closures if they need to work on it. Duck

    Debris

  24. Duck

    Debris

At Holiday Island there is all kinds of debris from large trees to refrigerators passing in front of my place. The river plus Leatherwood is full of stuff which will find its way down lake, Be on the look out and stay alert. Be safe. Duck
  25. Butler Creek had major flash flooding and lots of damage. A lady and her car were washed into the creek at the crossing of 187 but was save down stream some how. The bridge itself is closed with lots of erosion and rail damage. The Railroad Winery had its building washed down stream to where the bad " S " curve is and most grapes destroyed. I have been down here through the major floods and have never seen anything close to this damage.Trees up rooted in many places.and fences full of debris. If anyone does not heed flash flood warning they should view this area. Stay safe a go around. Duck
