Quill, it was slow for us as well, we fished out of Emerald Beach, ended with 14 bass and 1 nice bream, not one keeper. Most on drop shot. Good Fishin, Duck.

Ditto Quillback, we fished, I think the same area above Eagle Rock and may have seen you. We ended with 13 blacks but only one keeper size others were small, one 2 inch bream and 1 small crappie. All on drop shot, no top water action nor spinnerbait. It will get better. Good fishin, Duck.

In at Sweetwater at 6:30 and did not do very good, ended up with total of 8 with 7 being under 12 inches one real nice 2 1/2 lb LM. 4 on chrome spook Jr. and 4 on drop shot with PBJ finesse worm. Also tried spinnerbait and stickbait. One large flat had more schools of surface bait fish than we have seen in years but very few chasers, it was odd. What we could see was mostly inch and a half shad. Water temp of 82. Off at 11 am. Only 2 ski boats, YAHOO. Good fishin, Duck.

Put in at Sweetwater ( Ramp is in real bad shape ) and fished down the Kings on our milk run. We ended up with 45 fish, 2 real nice channel cats, 2 small walleye, 1 white, and 40 bass. 15 on top water mostly on the Spook Jr. in chrome and a few on the Pop R. all the rest on drop shot with PBJ finesse worm in 25-30 feet of water. On at 5;45 off at 11 am. Water temp of 82. Two boats, 4 fishermen. Good Fishin, Duck.

I say wonderful day not because of the numbers and size of fish our 2 boats and 6 fishermen caught but because I got to see my 8 year old grandson and his buddy grunt and brace them selves as the fought those 12 and 13 inch monster bass. What a pleasure. We ended up with 19 bass, No top water action until 8 am till about 9 am, very scattered, caught 10 that way, the rest DS with PBJ worm. Man was there a bunch of bass boat out today. Spoke with Mr. Babler and Mr. Quill. Good Fishin, Duck.

We had a wet morning for our two boats but son and grandson leave in a week so we fish when we can. First cast at 6:30 off at 11 am. Started with top water action but not a fish on any lures, lots of action but no takers. Went to drop shot with PBJ finesse worm and caught 17 bass, 1 keeper size and 2 large blue gill. At about 10 am. the water started to boil in places, we caught 9 more non keeper bass on Pointer jerk baits in Chartreuse Shad. Grand son is a real trooper, no belly aching as long as he gets his eggs, bacon and pancakes at the Office Pub on the way home. Good fishin, Duck.

Had what I would call a better than average day for us. ( 2 boats ) First cast at 6 am. off at 11 am. Total 30 bass, mostly spots ( 4 over 15 inches ) and 2 mean mouths with one 16 inches, 2 legal Walleye of close to 19 inches and 1 big blue gill. 3 on chrome spook Jr. and the rest on drop shot with PBJ finesse worms. Fish did not prefer any specific depth, range of 15 to 40 feet. Water temps 80-82. We had a bunch of early morning top water activity but few takers. What a nice " fall " morning. Good fishin, Duck.

We fished with 2 boats today out of Emerald Beach, first cast at 6 am and the last at 11 am. Ended up with 24 blacks with 2 keeper size, 1 nice white on a Pop R, 1 Goggle eye and one bream. 3 on green tube the rest on PBJ drop shot at depth of 28 - 34 feet. Water temp 81 - 82. Another nice part of the morning was finally meeting and chatting with Quillback, seems like a very friendly man with a fine looking boat. What a nice cool morning for us in July. Good Fishin, Duck.

I think the Corp should put huge signs up at every boat ramp saying that boats must be prepped and READY to launch before backing down the ramps. Also all launchers must be capable of backing a trailer. I waited 5 minutes watching a fella backing his boat down the ramp at Beaver Dam and launching yesterday and thought that was bad, the next guy took 12 minutes, they had nothing in the boat, all in the back of the truck at waters edge. Best of all after the launched the boat would not start and a guide had to pull them back to the ramp. People please use some common sense. Sorry had to vent. Duck.

Quill, we were in a Tracker with Ozark Anglers stickers on a 90 horse mercury. I think I saw you go by. Someday we need to say hello. Duck

Put in at Emerald beach hoping for a top water bite but was disappointed, only 2 on the chrome spook. Drop shot was not much better, 10 on PBJ worm all at 30 - 32 feet. We would pick up one or two here and there with quite a few showing on the fishfinder but few takers First cast at 5:30 off at 11, water temp 78 - 79. What GREAT weather for July.Good fishin, Duck. .

Put in at Emerald Beach with son and grandson , first cast at 5:20 with top water lures, caught 2 very near keepers and that was that. Went to the drop shot with PBJ finesse worm and started getting bite, ended with 21 total but only 2 would measure, the other 19 were clones of 14 -14 1/2 inches. None spit up anything to show us what they were feeding on. Water temp of 82. Off at 8:45 when the Navy and heat started to build. Pretty morning, Good Fishin, Duck.

We fished out of Big M yesterday and ended up with 7 in the boat, 2 keeper size., 1 smallie and the rest lg, and spots. Caught 2 on Zara spook in chrome and the other on bone. If anyone catches a 16 inch keeper with a chrome spook in its yap that is also mine. Poor knot tie. All other on green tube. Water temp. was 75. Good luck, Duck.

Gentlemen, if you are 62 plus you can get a National Parks and Federal Recreational Senior Lands Pass( lifetime) for $10.00, it will let you in free to any National Park and gives a 50% discount on the annual fee for the launching and parking pass ( $15.00 ). Also discounts on camping and other things. I think you can get it on line,if not you can get it at the park gates. There are different passes so make sure you get what I posted. Hope this helps. Good Fishin, Duck.

We put in at Viney and only had 2 small blacks there, went down to Cedar and caught 8 more with two keeper size. I would not have gone knowing the wind was going to be SO STRONG. Kinda scary getting back to Viney. Most caught on watermelon lizards. Tried the rig and tube but the wind made it impossible to keep a snug line. Still blowing hard here at Holiday Island. Stay safe. It was a terrible day for White bass up river. We fished for 6 hours and caught 4. Started around Beaver town and fished all our spots up to Bertrands, Blue Springs was holding hundreds of nice size ones but no takers, I actually dropped my grub on a few, Also Spider Creek was loaded with no takes. Threw A-rig, grubs, and stickbaits. Can't figure them out, its been a tough spring. Good Fishin, Duck

In the last 4 days we have fished for Whites in Roaring River (nothing), Kings(Nothing), Leatherwood( a few small ones), Butler Creek ( a few small ones) up the White on flats, Friday 20 nice ones, Sat. 15 nice ones butt worked our butts off for them. We has two boats with up to 6 fishing. Water temps in different areas 43 up river to 52 in Kings. This is a very strange year for us, has anyone else found this to be true? Hope you are having better luck than us. Good fishin, Duck.

Looked for Whites from HI to Rock House, Nada. Water temp 41 with full generation. Butler Creek was 49-50 with lots of boats but few fish.Very little action on the Humminbird. Good luck, Duck.

I swear by the Cabela Snagmaster. Used it 5 times today and got the A-rig back every time. Look it up, $12.00. Good fishin, Duck.

Took a ride in the truck over to Sweetwater today and the area around Arrow point, what I could see of the river was not good, lots of wood and junk coming down and very muddy. Be careful if you navigate the river. Good fishin, Duck.

Getting tired of the same report. Put in at Eagle Rock at 9:45 and ran to Roaring River for whites, stayed till 11:30 with 1, 8 inch shad. Then we tried a Quillback, tied on a water melon tube and tried it on all different structure up to HI with no results I think our problem may be our yellow Bullet boat. Beautiful day. Gonna git better, good fishin, Duck.

Put in at Sweetwater at 10, fished the flats and some drop offs up to the 86 bridge with maybe one quick release of a small something at the boat. Water temps from 42 to 46, very little action on the fishfinders. Talked to 4 other boats and all but one was also blanked, the one who did catch a fish had a small bream. Going back to Roaring River tomorrow, will report results. Still beats the hell out of staying inside with cold weather. Good fishin, Duck.

Put in at Eagle Rock about 10:15 and went to Roaring River to scout for whites, nada, we fished all the spots up to where it narrows down at the 90 degree bend. Trolled a pointer, X- rap, and chrome rattle trap, and threw the A- rig. Craig hammered one 10 inch K. Put boat on trailer at 11:30 and went to HI to relaunch, trolled and cast all known areas up to what some call Rock House with not a bite. Nothing in Butler. Lots of Walleye fishing going on. If you go on this stretch of the river be careful, there are many new hazards since last year, the water is low so stay in the channel when running. Will try the Kings Monday. Good fishin, Duck.

Just called the Corp and the Viney workshop is still on. The officer said something about a survey/comment form that we can get for those who can't make it, they can fill it out and mail it in. I will get more info and post it. Stay warm, Duck.
