  1. It was dirty and turbid, but the top 3 in the tournament all came from flipping in the dirty water....
  2. Lake is high an dirty up that area......clearer by the dam. Fishing is tough....tournament last weekend only took 10 lbs to win it. How do you like to fish? you can throw jerkbaits in the clear water near the dam or go to the river and flip jigs.....
  3. Dutch I would love if you could help me out with a path to take......I have a pretty good idea after going up there this weekend, but the high water made it easy on me. I used my gps for a general idea of the channel swings, but it is the shallow water and stick ups I worry about. Haven't tried to make my way up the Lindley yet....you have a path for it? Do you like it better up there or the Pomme?
  4. How tricky is it to run up the Pomme River when the water is at normal pool? Right now it is 6 ft high so we were able to make it to the PP bridge pretty easily, but noticed where many areas woul have little water at normal pool.
  5. No warranty? If I had a $200 rod that had a kink in it you better be sure I would be sending it back for a new one? at that price a good warranty is a must.
  6. Yeah didn't figure it would.....wishful thinking I guess.....have you seen how faw up the pomme the dirty water stretches?
  7. I am sure it will stay muddy by this weekend??? Any chance it may clear up?
  8. Anybody seen what the water looks like since the rain? I assume muddy up the arms?
  9. I will be there this weekend if anybody has any interest and want to come by....let me know
  10. thanks for the advice griz. We are blessed and fortunate that we are both teachers and it seems his handicaps are physical. He never ceases to amaze me.
  11. I would also love a report on water conditions.......looks like the fishing could be tough this weekend
  12. Is that the one at Lightfoot Park then?
  13. See people talk about old Highway 83 marina on Pomme. where exactly is that?
  14. not one here either, but their own line of H2O baits are very popular and very nicely priced. To be honest, I am not too sure about the branded items. I am just wanting to get some H2Os.
  15. Prayers answered!!!
  16. Looks like the surface temp is 40 now too. 3 degrees up from yesterday. sure hope it doesn't muddy up too bad for next weekend. Cold and muddy water are not a good combination for fishing. I am sure the dam area will stay somewhat clear, but that sure shrinks the lake.
  17. wonder if the rain coming today will dirty it up a bit....
  18. I would have to say the jig and jerkbait are my more confident baits....so I am sure I will focus on those the majority of the time.
  19. Wow! I wish I could take advantage of this deal.
  20. +1 to this comment. I also have a son that had a stroke at birth so goes through many of the same handicaps, but he is only 5 right now so I am not quite in the same situation as you are.....we still have school to go through sorry I am no help, good luck to him.
  21. Hope it clears up......anybody have a water clarity report? what about up the Pomme arm? Jerkbait fishing could be tough if the water is dark...
  22. you think it is too early and cold for a spinnerbait?
  23. I am from Rolla and to be honest I have no idea of any campgrounds around here. I was going to recommamend checking Lane Springs like mentioned above.
  24. having trouble finding a subdivision map and plat map, but I did make this to give you an idea of where it is. The lot has 2 travel trailers there right now if you are interested in looking at it. It is not posted for sale.
  25. How are you fishing the grubs. Is it the "scrubbing" technique you hear about on table rock where you let it sink and reel slowly keeping contact with the bottom?
