  1. So how'd it go?
  2. Whatever "lesson" you refer to might benefit others if you would elaborate. Read the original post and it sounded like he thought the stealth style charger was the same as tje plug in AC. Chargers. I am no marine mechanic or electrician but was simply trying to inform that the on the run style chargers are not the same as your typical charger. Wrench since you are a mechanic why not advise the OP to help him? I am sure you know more than me about how the stealth works differently than AC chargers. Give a reccomendation. I was simply tryi g to help. And by all means if I am wrong than tell me. I would like to know myself.
  3. DC chargers are not new. Stealth has one others include minnkota Stay N Church (which can also charge trolling batteries from the tow vehicle while driving home) and tjere are several others. I have had a stay n charge for about 6 years or so. They are awesome. Yes they do charge trolling batteries after the cranking is charged. No they dont void warranty. You can get a stealth or other DC charger as an option on most new boats.
  4. Maybe regular plug in chargers, but there are several brands of DC style chargers that are not all one in the same. Stealth I have heard makes a quality one.
  5. I see there is an Open tourney on the 21st. Anybody plan to fish it?
  6. Saw AiA cancelled their tournament for Sunday due to information that the lake has a lot of ice. I would assume a trail of that size wouldn't cancel unless it indeed was pretty frozen over. Can anyone confirm?
  7. you can buy teflon pins for the weedguard hole which work great, but thanks for the tip on the jig eye. that will come in handy.
  8. It does have a similar wide wobble. Not sure how comparable to the wart but it is similar
  9. Spros new rockcrawler was designed with tje wart in mind.
  10. thanks. doesn't sound like it is very favorable fishing conditions.
  11. What do yje ramps look like on Pomme? Scheduled club tx for the 21st was pushed to Sat the 28th. Weatjer looks ok so far but a small club like ours may not make the trip if the ramps are all ice and frozen. Supposed to take out of hermitage.
  12. Shad rap is tough to cast too but that doesn't meam its no good. Awesome bait.
  13. looks nice. wonder how fast it sinks. I prefer a suuuuuper slow sink or perfect suspending jerkbait.
  14. Pomme can be feast or famine. You probably aren't doing anything different than most. Just have to find the fish.
  15. I normally use smaller sized swimbait. 3.5 inches or so. I have used everything from the cheap storms to Berkley grass pigs (smaller ones) and only kitsch knockoffs. I think its more about finding the fish than it is the type of swimbait. Figuring out where in tje water column tje fish are holding.
  16. this is good advice. many times in winter you can pick a smaller cove and start at the beginning of one side and just fish all the way around it until you find some fish. then try to duplicate on other areas. Also don't forget the A-rig. It works well on pomme.
  17. was thinking the drowdown will get bass to pull out and suspend in deeper water?? maybe more main like oriented?
  18. The natural shad by megabass or emerald shiner bt luck e stroke has probably won more money on loz than any other. Or just clown
  19. Oh yeah but what about catching them in February?
  20. I didn't want to hijack the other thread. Any experience or thoughts on how the drawdown will effect bass fishing? Will be on Pomme fishing toward the end of February.
  21. Thanks!
  22. Congrats. Care to give a report?
  23. Yeah. We will be taking g off out of Coffman. Long drive. Lol
