I use snaps on all my cranks and never had any trouble tuning them.

fished at big hollow today from 2 till about 5:30 caught a few shorts but nothing else. Only pattern we could figure was to let the bait (minnow) sit in front of them for a bit and let them think about taking it.

I havn't had a chance to get to the lake for a while but a friend living up there said the water levels were stupid low like he didn't think he could get his boat in... any confirmations...ai had heard earlier that they were going to do somrthing to the dam. A friend was telling me I can take my boat to fellows lake which has a 115 hp motor on it as long as I have the prop removed. Is this right...sure hope so would save me some grief having to explain to my wife why I need another boat. I appreciate all your help in advance...AB

I've asked a few questions, and was told any gas in the state of Mo. has ethenol in it. The exception to the rule is buying gas from a marina. Never heard of burning plugs up, guess it could happen. As for blowing fuel out, take a lesson from the boys in K.C. electric drill to the bottom of the tank..."GIT ER DONE"... or my favorite the last words spoken by a red-neck...HEY GUYS WATCH THIS...

I'm not at all concerned with international codes. And should'nt the poor souls you are worried about have some responsibility for the problems, or did some intertnational company force them to buy? I think everyone from the developer to the people who bought them have to pay up.

Could you use the 6lb. for everything, or maybe a 4lb. leader when using jigs?

I was thinking of fishing Taney tomorrow but had a couple of questions. Is fishing good right now? I was thinking of bringing my boat so can I put in by Lillies? And since I've never boated Taney before is there enough water to go up from Lillies and drift back? I know it sounds silly but I'm scared of shallow water and big rocks. I appreciate any advice and helpful hints....AB.

I've been reading some of these posts about catch and release and am a little confused. I went to the hatchery awhile ago and talked to one of the agents, according to him we may as well keep any big bows that are caught because they're going to die anyway and there is no or very little in the way of a natural spawn. I fish for everything from cats on Truman to trout on Taney and do release the big ones. He did say if you were going to release any it should be the browns. Just wondering what people on this site thought

Hello DC I was up there this past weekend and I didn't see any broken docks, just lots of water. I launched from Lightfoots and went all the way around to Haverstick. I fished a crappie tournament. I took second with 2 fish, 1 pound 2 ounces, first was 2 fish 1 pound 12 ounces.

No just sick and tired of that blow-hard

I've got an idea, ignore him and perhaps he'll go away. I try to get along with everyone but he sure is trying. He,s always right and I get it Trav you've guided everywhere and done everything we read it on every post you write. I hope to come to Taney this summer and maybe meet some of you, I can't say that about Trav.
