You can get A good epoxy resin at Grizzly in Springfield. System Three is the name brand they have two or three different amounts in one to one ratio mixtures. You can buy the cloth at most car part stores. Oh and yes paint it as Flysmallie said.
Well I was just asking. If I'm gonna learn to cast I might as well learn from someone who has. 8 footer Ok. Medium action? I'll go up to Back Country tomarrow to see what I can afford. As to putting you on the spot no worries I can only learn if you can break me of swinging a hammer.

I'm going to buy my first fly fishing rig. I've done some study and for a beginner what do you think about a 5or 6 weight rod? 7 or 8 foot? Reels are pretty much open. Fly line I have no clue. Come on if you think I'm gonna fish with you this summer ya gotta help some too!
Tom weather and that four letter word have kept me from get any building done.
I got to meet Larry Dablemont in Nixa last weekend at the swap meet. Interesting guy he says that he's writing more on the White River Jack boats to be published later this year. I've heard about the boat at Cof O but not seen it. See ya this Sunday afternoon.

I think you'll like the pirogue although it is really a flat water boat. With the spray on bed liner I would think just taping and glassin the seams would be fine and sound deadening for sure.
Yoakam Bend is the long bend with the high bluff and the cabins on the right. Any where from Horse creek to Galena is good though. Are you glassing inside and out both? Mine will be. I got 1/4 inch Hickory from Schaller in Marionville for the SW 15-30 what are you using?

What weight glass cloth did you order? I think I'll use a four onuonce From RAKA. As to the graphite it sound like the way to go. It just happens I'm going down to Lousiana to meet some of the best Pirouge builders in the nation. I've been looking at Matt's Laker or a Freedom for a future build. I see you like the james from horse creek to Galena also. Man I've nailed them at Yoakam bend.
