It's been mentioned several times so I thought I would highlight it with drew's comment.
If they can't enforce the rules they have it won't do much good to change them. And what would be the benefit if they did enforce the rules we already have.
But those regulations won't fix that. I really don't care if it's made Catch and Release only, you know that. But the people that are the problem will still continue to keep whatever they want, whenever they want and they really don't care.
Some of the biggest smallmouth I have caught on the fly rod have come from dead drifting a gurgler. Sometimes they want it fast, sometimes they want it slow and sometimes they want it dead. There is no right or wrong way, the fish make the decision.
We don't take glass on the rivers. Maybe you need to watch closer, the only glass you will see is in the cabin. Go back to cleaning those browns and quit worrying about us.
It's around 47 miles from the Dame to Galena. It would be a great time and pretty easy to pull off on this river. I would want about 5 days but I like to screw around a lot so I'm slow in getting down a river. The easy part is that you pass a lot of different river access so if the weather gets bad or you tip and loose everything you are only a few miles at the most from someplace to reload or bail out. It might not be all that scenic through some of the upper parts but it's interesting and their are still plenty of fish. Sounds like a good time to me.
Says the guy who thinks the government is sending planes into the sky to spray us.
I go home when it's lightning, a dead uncle taught me that and I'm not really afraid of snakes. But Im smart enough not to pull a gun in a fist fight. That's what a paddle is for.
Sorry, shouldn't have directed that at you. But it's not that hard to keep it hidden and safe. Plus they are girls and aren't interested in guns. They will never find a loaded gun at home since the only one there is an old colt revolver that wouldn't fire if you wanted it to. I don't keep guns in my home.
Well first I teach my kids things, just like my parents did. They know what is a toy and what is not. Those are parenting skills that a lot have forgotten. And it's not loaded and I don't have easy access to it. I doubt they know I even have it with me.
You guys need to get over the thought that we are traveling down the river looking for a fight. I will avoid that at all costs. But I'm not afraid to defend myself or anyone else when I need to.
