  1. Good plan. It would be awesome to make some money off of those. Didn't your daughter win the contest too?
  2. Dam dude, look at that belly!! You didn't have that last fall, must have been a winter project. Keep eating like that and you will catch up to me soon.
  3. OI know somebody said it had nothing to do with personal preference but really it does. If I was going to skip something up under some brush I would want a baitcaster. It's what I grew up fishing and it's what I feel the most comfortable with. I have very little accuracy with a spinning reel.
  4. Did I really just say "dung"? Looks like Phil has got me on auto correct, or auto don't be a rude jerk or something.
  5. It's really going to be a crapshoot on whether I make it, I have no idea when I when I will be in town in the next 4 to 6 weeks. But pick a date and let everybody start trying to make plans. But right now I'm going to go hit the James and scare the dung out of something.
  6. Well if your weren't so busy with the rainbow float I would suggest you.
  7. More like a money vacuum. Nothing beats some warm water small water action. Get you some small poppers and have a blast.
  8. Oh come on. She's just going to have another one next year.
  9. Yeah I'm not going. You guys are just wanting to recreate Ned's love scene.
  10. yakfisher wins, it was Gulf Shores and it was a heck of a trip. The hammerhead was caught by another guy on the charter but it was awesome just being there in the chaos. I did land the King Mack as we were headed back in. Our deck hand dropped a big lure in the water and we trolled it all the way back to the pass, 25 or 30 miles. That one King is the only action we saw on that but it was worth it.
  11. I finally had the chance to go fishing last week. It was a good trip.
  12. It's a lot better than it used to be. And way better than IE.
  13. Use Firefox and you won't have to worry about those problems.
  14. OF, there are lots of good places to fish around Gulf Shores. You have the beach, the pier, Perdido Pass. The beach out at Fort Morgan is good early in the morning. Long drive but worth it.
  15. He didn't plead anything and he didn't walk either. Doctors from both the prosecution and the defense said he was unfit for trial. He will now be living in Springfield. Facing an agitated Loughner in a Phoenix courtroom, U.S. District Judge Larry A. Burns remanded him to a federal facility in Springfield, Mo., where he will receive treatment aimed at restoring his competency. The judge ordered that Loughner be treated for up to four months, and if he is then deemed to be competent, the case against him could resume. If not, he could remain in treatment.
  16. Take it to the marina at Fellows and ask them to license it just like any other boat on the water. If you can get that you are good.
  17. Hootentown will usually shuttle your vehicle for $10. They leave it waiting in their campground.
  18. How did you like the Mother's? I had some of their IPA, no idea what it's called, and something else last week. Not too bad.
  19. Now that made me laugh. Thanks, wrong, but true.
  20. By benefiting the anglers you get the interest, but it is nice to offer something to a charity. The only thing I can compare them to are bass tournaments, the majority are 100% payback or a portion is kept but it doesn't go to charity. And yes I know there are some very good charity tournaments around each year. To me 25 seems like a small number. I would think you would have at least 25 teams which would double the the fees and donation, but again I have no idea how many fisherman this river is capable of handling. You don't want it seen as a negative thing. There may be easier ways to earn $600 bucks for a charity but at least you enjoying yourself while doing it. I don't think anyone should be critiqued for trying to help no matter how small that contribution is or how it is achieved.
  21. Sorry we just don't deal with ignorance well. Carry on Stud.
  22. When the big motor is running it is on. When it's not running the jacket is laying in the seat so I don't forget to put it on (like I ever would) when I move. Unfortunately, I have lost a friend that was not wearing a life jacket. He was by himself and fell out of the boat. Could not get back in and was less that 50 yards from the bank. Plus he was a good swimmer. You can go all macho and say you are not going to wear it, but if you have it in the boat anyway, put the darn thing on. You never know what might happen.
  23. Yeah boys, simmer down before Ness gets his panties all in a wad again. Or tells the teacher. Ness you sure do throw out a lot of accusations about s*** you know nothing about. Here's a little idea for ya Stud. Actually part of it is in your signature line. "Think, type, think, type, think, edit , post" If you could just leave out the part where you post this would be a better place.
  24. If you would wear that life jacket that would solve one problem. The law has stated for awhile that they could not be in a closed compartment. Best place for it is on your body.
