  1. Matt, I think that establishing regional chapters is a very good idea. I have always been interested in being a part of MSA but when the meetings and most events are on the other side of the state it's hard. We have many dedicated smallmouth anglers in SW Missouri that may not have the time or money to make it to travel to the St. Louis area for meetings or events. I was on the MSA website last night. First time I had looked around on there in a while. Wow, what an improvement. I didn't realize that it had been completely rebuilt. It's very nice. I look forward to a regional chapter for SW Missouri and becoming a new member of the Missouri Smallmouth Alliance as soon as possible.
  2. Picked mine up today. They look great! Thanks Phil.
  3. Grace, Here is a link to the topic for the TU meeting. The link to the audio is in Phil's first post. http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=14746
  4. Phil, I'm planning on coming down Friday to pick up a couple. Thanks
  5. This topic has derailed.
  6. I'll be there around 6:30 or 7:00am with the backup coffee creamer. Still don't know what else I'll bring. It looks like we will have a ton of stuff if everyone shows.
  7. Phil, this something that has started happening to me in the past couple of months. It's not a big issue that bothers me but it is happening. I might be good for a few days and then I have to log in every time I get on for awhile, then it seems to go away again. A couple of times, it happened again today, I log in and then click on "View New Posts" and it logs me off. I didn't complain because I was sure it was something with my system, but if others are experiencing the same thing then something must be wrong. Not going to keep me away though .
  8. I'm experiencing the same thing as Zander
  9. Felt soles get really slick in the mud. I stepped up on a mud bank at Taney and did the splits. First of all it hurt and second it pulled the seam on my waders so i got to buy a new pair .
  10. Had I known that it was to take the kids out I probably would have done it to. I fished & froze Sunday anyway.
  11. Those are great. Care to share your settings for all of them? I'm new to all this photography stuff but I'm trying to learn.
  12. I was trying to get a good shot of a bald eagle today and ran across these two guys. They looked pretty comfortable just enjoying the weather.
  13. Phil, You are leaving off the best part. From Riverton to Myrtle Access is some very good smallmouth fishing. Lots of good water and spots to camp.
  14. Hey I have a 5wt too! And you wouldn't believe the size of the crap that I fling with that thing. No wonder my catsing never gets any better, I never do anything right.
  15. I wish they wouldn't have built it either. I hate seeing those things disrupting the scenery. However, since they did build it, let me be the first to say WOO HOO. I know I'm contradicting myself, but I have the luxury of being able to set my "office" up where ever I can get a phone signal. I can talk on the phone, answer emails and now stalk some fish!!
  16. Nice smallies Leonard!! However, I'm going to need to inspect that fly.
  17. We didn't get there until about 1pm. Missed breakfast, missed lunch but I did get to see a few of you for a few minutes hiding from the rain! We fissed to the horn and ended up with around 30 fish between us. Fished the upper end and 90% of our fish came on a SJ worm. I had two nice fish a 21" & a 23" both came on the worm. Saw some really nice fish and I can't wait to get back.
  18. LOL. Call the Fear-monger police too. I think JJ's been drinking the coffee creamer straight out of the bottle again!!
  19. Well here is the winner. David Curtis weighed in a 5 fish limit, 22 pounds 12 ounces. A lot of these guys were talking about how shallow the fish had moved throughout the week. Iaconelli said that he caught the majority of fish in 2 feet of water today. Greg Bohannan had a 20 pound 6 ounce limit that he caught on a buzzbait! I would have never thought that today would have been a good day for a buzzbait.
  20. Phil, I'll take at least 2 for sure. Let me know what I need to do to get this going. Ronnie
  21. That's so funny, but so true.
  22. I'll be there......somewhere.
  23. Are there any restictions on boats and motors for this lake?
  24. Good to see you are still around Ducky. I think about you every time I hit Roaring River. Call me when you want to get together and terrorize some fish.
