  1. Below montauk it is the Ozark National Scenic Riverway. Its a National Park. Look it up online a print a map showing the access points. There are many. Go Rolla to Licking and follow the signs. It should take you about 2.5 hours from 270 and 44. Good Luck.
  2. Pic's or dental records. Either work. You may just be wearing beer goggles.
  3. Received mine yesterday. Thanks for hosting the swap. EB

    G

My guess is Crab orchard lakes area from your screen name.
  5. Count me in for something.
  6. The Cabelas jackets are hard to beat. Don't worry about a super warm jacket you can and should dress in layers. A dry jacket is important, and a light weight shell in useable in more conditions. I have a Cabelas backcountry. It is breathable and waterproof light and packable. I fished last week in the 20's. With a few layers under the jacket you'll be fine. One feature that is hard to beat is the neoprene cuffs. I won't have another wading jacket w/o neoprene cuffs. The make a huge differance. Good Luck. EB
  7. John, Here is a pic of the fish I caught at dark, and a photo of a brook that I caught the next day near NF Dam.
  8. John, Thanks for your services bearing the cold. We had a great day. EB
  9. Use you judgement on sending the flys out. PM the folks that have yet to provide their fly and find out their status. Thanks for hosting the swap. EB
  10. Jason, Have you received mine at this point? Please revise the list. Thanks.
  11. Jason, I got mine in the mail today. I hope I got it right. 9 flies I hope. Thanks. EB
  12. As good as the Salukies have been in the past few years, I had to do a double take to see them near the bottom of the Valley at this point of the season. I hope they bounce back, but not at the Bears sake.
  13. The Saluki is once again a Dog. Go Bears.
  14. There is good fishing all over the state. Get a Delorme map and start studing. I would visit Rocky mountian National park and The Black canyon of the gunnison if you have time, both are a must see for different reasons. Google the Taylor creek fly shop in Basalt CO and visit the website for good info on the Frying Pan and Roaring fork. Colorado is a great place to visit, beautiful mountains, but if you are going primarily to fish and you have the time, I agree w/ Al, go to western Montana. You won't be disappointed. Good luck.
  15. My 1st gun was an H&R 20 ga single shot w/ a mod barrel. I still have the gun and it is as good of a gun as ever. I have taken small game, waterfowl and turkey with this gun. It is all the gun that a guy needs, but not all the gun that you will want. It is a good starter though. Good luck.
  16. Sorry to say that when it comes to sausage, most shops do this. I think it would be rare to find a shop that doesn't mix the meat when making summer sausage. Good luck. EB
  17. Ditto on the 870 express... This is a hard gun to beat for the money. I have used the same gun for over 20 years, and it is still as good as the day it was purchased.
  18. Count me in for something. I just saw the post so I need to think about the pattern.
  19. Thanks for the report. Informative and enjoyable. EB
  20. With a 10.5 Jon, always were your PFD and bring an extra change of clothes. You may not need them often, but you will eventially need them. A electric trolling motor will not be enough to bring the boat back up stream during even moderate generation.

    Mexican Villa

Mexican Villa and Cashew chicken were staples when I was at SMSU 20 years ago. I never miss a chance to eat at the Villa when in the Springfield area.... The food is good, but quite differant from most Mexican joints. I have a place near home that has a Cashew chicken that is decent, so I don't need the Cashew chicken fix. I go there for the nostalgia, no need to go to any other Mexican joint in the Springfield area, I have many good mexican joints around STL, but the a sancho from the Villa is unique to the Villa only
  23. Nice fish... what did she weigh and measure. Looks to be about 27" +/- weight about 10 lb's?
  24. Rocky falls is on Rocky creek up from the Current river. The creek is very small, and nearly drys up in the summer. The falls are great to visit after a heavy shower, it is site to be seen w/ heavy run off, but as far as fishing goes, I wouldn't waste my time trying to fish any part of Rocky creek, to small and too many other good fishing on the river. We have a cabin on the current river not far from there, and if we are there during a rainy day we will ofter visit the falls to see the site. EB
