  1. Thanks for the help. It is very much appreciated.
  2. My wife and a couple of friends at coming over to the Rock this weekend and we are staying at Fish n Fun resort outside of Shellknob. I was curious to what part of the lake this is called. And what the fish are doing around that part of the lake. I have only fished this lake one time this same time last year. This year i have a bass boat and would really like the catch some SM. Any suggestions. Thanks for the help.
  3. Those look nice. Have you ever heard of Fish n Fun? I was just looking at that one it looked pretty nice. We stayed at a place on the mouth of the Kings last year and it wasn't the best expeirence. We fish the opening day of trout season at roaring river too. So I don't really wanna drive a long ways at 4 in the morning.
  4. My family and I are coming over for our annual trip to Table Rock on the Feb.27-March 3 and we have tried a couple of different places. But we just haven't found the right one. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. Thanks.
  5. I drove over there from Bartlesville today and caught about 12 the size of a decent spinnerbait and 1 keeper. I fished for about 8hrs along with about 8 other people. I saw about 7 keepers including the one i caught all day. But overall it was a very nice dock and very friendly people. I would recomend that place to anyone when the fish are biting. I can't imagine how many people are there when the fish are really hitting. Overall a fun and relaxing trip.
  6. My wife and a couple of friends will be down that way this weekend to float the elk. I haven't floated it in 12yrs or so. I was wondering what everyone is catching the fish on? When i was there i just use a live crawdads and a little rebel wee-craw crankbait. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
  7. haven't heard any new reports since the rain this week. Please leave some reports. Before the whites and Spoonbill stop running
  8. I went to the park in miami friday night and caught 6 and returned saturday morning to find to river had dropped like at least 3 ft. I caught 3 and one snapped my surf rod in two. I wouldn't waste your time going down there right now. they only spot they were really catching them was right there on the steps of the darn throwing halfway out. if you weren't there you might get lucky and hang one every now and then.
  9. yeah but there is plenty to go around, thats what i like about this site most of the time you get honest answers. Oh yeah i I did swig a 12 pack while i was there.
  10. I went to the park in miami last night. I got there around 8 and both sides were out of there banks. You had to drive through about 2ft of water on the west side and it was still coming up. I seen a few caught so i drove to the other side where they were really catching them. The park side was flooded as well. The water was still coming up. I seen plenty of full grown trees coming down the river all night. I had to wade through knee high water to get to where the bank was at. There was a strip about 8 feet wide than ran the length of the bank to fish from. There were plenty of people there as well. Wading through the water was well worth it though. It was some the best snaggin I've ever experienced. In the 5hrs i was there i landed 27 fish. ranging from 20Ib males to 68Ib female that i took home. By the time i left i was so tired it was hard to stay awake for the drive home. Also when i left the bank I snagged from was almost completley gone covered with water. So im not sure it will be snaggable today. But man was it ever a blast. THe fat ladies have arrived.
  11. I haven't heard any reports in awhile. Just wondering if anyone is still catching some and what the river conditions are.
  12. Thanks for the reports everyone. I have gone west the past few times since the rains. My trips have really paid off. I have landed some really good ones. The biggest one being 98Ibs below Kaw. For some reason the fish have always been bigger over there. Last year my biggest was 104.If i could figure out how to put a picture on here i would. It keeps tellin me its too big to display. I have landed numerous ones in the high 80's. But now im payin the price I have pnumonia. So it looks like my fishing is over for the next couple weeks. Good luck and good health to everyone.
  13. I haven't been there since all the rain the past day or two. You can buy a license at wal-mart along with the snagging permit. Im sure the big ones are up that far (river view park) I can't wait to get back up there myself. I know the water is probably pretty high right now but that is the best time up there. I would use a 4oz. and size 8 treble hook. if you go let me know how you did.
  14. Fished today around conners bridge, caught 4 sows biggest one 64Ibs, and 2 males. So the fattys are definatly on their way.
  15. Went to Conners bridge today for about 30mins caught one and my bail broke so I had to cut the trip short. Saw plenty of fish caught.
  16. That road I was talking about off of hwy.60 is north 590 and that dirt road takes you right to conners bridge. Im almost positive. its about a mile or two before Fairland on 60
  17. I know a kansas non-resident anual cost 42.50 plus a 12.50 spoonbill permit which gives you six tags. not sure about the day permit or how much it costs. I have to buy a one day permit everytime i go to missouri and I think i paid 7 this year. Not sure how much Oklahoma is either I have a lifetime hunting/fishing combo. Im sure they aren't cheap.
  18. Not sure if they have made it up that far yet. I was wondering the same thing myself. If a non-resident license wasn't so expensive i would go up there this saturday but with gas plus 42.50 for a license it would cost me over a 100. Im sure that sandbass are there. If you go up there gimmie a report
  19. which way are you coming from and maybe i can explain how to get there.
  20. The water was really high last weekend. It was barely out of the banks last friday. Tuesday it was about two feet inside of the bank. The big ones are slowly making their way up that far. I've caught 4 sows in the past week and numers males. I've seen boats come from down stream with nice stringers of whites one guys said they are catching most of them between the park and conners bridge. That doesn't really narrow it down though. Most of the guys that fish over there will only tell you they caught them in the water. If we get this rain like we are supposed to I would expect alot more sows will be caught this weekend. But we need at least an inch up to make the river just right.
  21. There were 4 on the east side and probably 15 on the westside. Sunday im sure there will be at least 30 on each side. Try fishing just above the dam is under water but you can still kinda see where its at.
  22. Fished at the park yester for about 3 hours. Caught 7. Biggest about 55Ibs. Sows are starting to come up. I lost at least 10 hooks. So i would recomend throwing a 3oz sinker, until the water raises up again. Im gonna hit it again this weekend after the rain.
  23. Thanks for the info. I know where you talkin about now.
  24. I live about 20mins from Tulsa and i have been driving everywhere trying to find spoonbill. i have a so called friend that goes up to tulsa all the time and snags but he won't tell me where until he catches one bigger than mine last year. I don't even keep any I just like the fight. So if you could kinda fill me in on where in Tulsa it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  25. What part of oklahoma are you guys fishing the arkansas river where you have ran into the abundance of paddlefish ?
