Two buddies and I had the fever and needed to get out. The weather was looking to be cold and it sure was. We tried something new and stayed at reeds cabins (which was great). We fished the two boulder sections below the park, a few of the wholes at baptist, and a little at tan vat. Fishing was slow all weekend, most fish caught were on size 16-20 zebra midges, nymphs, and brassies various colors of each. My best fish was a very nice male rainbow caught at the first deep log hole at the start of the second set of boulders. Caught him on a glo yarn streamer deal I tie, That always manages to catch a few when all else fails. All in all between fishing in the extreme cold and the down time throwing back a few beers and some dark honey it was a great trip. When I say extreme cold I mean it, any part of our waders that were not in the stream were frozen in seconds during the morning. We all had our reels freeze solid a few times, and frozen guides was a norm. heres a pic of my trips best. enjoy!
