  1. Thanks MOPanfisher! People always complain to me about the lack of crappie in Pomme - I normally just say your right, stay away, you'll find more fish in Truman or LOZ! Brad
  2. Thanks! I'll give them a go. Brad
  3. Never fished for walleye on Pomme - always head to Stockton - however decided to give it a go last night. Trolled cranks, bandit 300's in shad colors, across a flat. Caught 3 walleyes (15.5", 18:5", 21") in 30 minutes and lost another. My batteries were weak and couldn't troll anymore, tried with big motor but 200 hp doesn't troll very well. Decided to hit some piles for crappie - had a blast as they are loaded up on the brush! Planning on trying the walleye a little more. What's your favorite cranks? Colors? Brad
  4. Crappie were outstanding. Fished brush - did not matter where - caught, caught and caught some more!!! Fished jig, color didn't matter, pitch it, cast it, vertical it. They were hungry!!!! Had limits in a few hours. Good luck! Brad
  5. MOPanfisher Thanks for the great info and all your hard work. It's has been a strange spring, long rainy and cold. I'm sure if there were a die off from a virus or disease there would be far more dead crappie. It is a little concerning when one goes to the lake and sees fish floating in every cove, however there are only a handful. Spread that out over a few weeks and we probably wouldn't ever notice. Keep us posted with any additional info!f Thanks, Brad
  6. I've noticed it the last couple of days. Way too many floating to have been culled or hooked deep. There were one or two fish per cove with several out on the main lake. They were floating on both sides if the lake - up the Pomme and Lindley. Brad

  20. Sounds like a lot of fun. Brad
  21. Had to take advantage of the beautiful weather today. Fished main lake brush piles in 20-35 fow and found fish everywhere. Pitch jig across the top, vertical just above the brush, vertical all the way in the brush - didn't matter they wanted it. Caught two limits in two hours, most were nice 10-11 inch fish with 3-4 right at a pound. Color today - white, shad, come to think of it these were what I had on when I started and never switched!!! Good luck and great fishing! Brad
  22. Started the New Year our right - headed to the lake!!! The temps were cold, the wind sharp but the crappie were hot, hot, hot!!!! If the start of 2013 is any indication of the year to come we have truly been blessed! Fished brush in 20-30 feet of water, 12-20 feet deep. We caught four limits in three hours on just 4 piles. They were stacked and hungry. Caught fish on jigs - white, blue and blue & white. Just verticled jigged over the top of the brush. Here's to hoping you have a crappie year. Brad
  23. I've been catching winter crappie in 10-20 of water the last three years. A couple of weeks ago I caught several in 11' of water, 5' deep. The fish don't seem to mind much, I think we just think it shouldn't be that way. Brad
  24. It was less than a week since the last trip, but with the weather chaning thought I better get out. Started at 9:30 AM and finished with the 30th keeper at 12:00 sharp. What an amazing 2.5 hours of fishing! The fish wanted the jig and wanted it bad, there were no doubts when you got bit - hammered it hard. Because of the wind I fished channel edges which provided a S to SE protection. Stayed right on the edge in 20 of water and caught all the fish just off the bottom. Color didn't seem to matter much - white, red/white, glo chart, blue, pink, shad, blue/white, yellow/white. This weather may goof them up a little but as soon as the wind slows some I'm heading back out! Good luck and hope you catch a boat load. Brad
  25. Hope you had a great trip. Brad
