  1. Bull Shoals.
  2. Does any body know what the new lake level is going to be? I have heard so many rumors that I have just about given up. I see they have slowed the lake drop to just a few tenths per day now, maybe the fishing will pick up in the upper section now.
  3. Thanks for the report. Was wondering about you. Got used to reading your reports every few days.
  4. Anybody doing any nite fishing for crappie yet? Which lite do you favor, white floater or green submersible? I am going to get a new lite and cant make up my mind. Are the led lights any good? Too many choices. LOL
  5. Everyone have a happy 4th of July. Remember to be Very Safe.
  6. Let us know how it worked. Good idea.
  7. Mike Thanks for your reports. You help more fisher men and women than you know. If I could get you on a tv show I would follow you around all day making a movie of you. Thanks again. Lonnie
  8. Any one trollong cranks for crappie? If so what colors, how deep, over deep water or shallow water? Over flats. deep brush, along steep bluffs? As you can see I am totally lost here. Thanks Lonnie
  9. I forgot. Can you put in at Hogan,Elbow, etc.
  10. Any body catching any crappie? I am having the darnest time catching crappie on this lake. The brush piles don't seem to hold but a few fish and they are usually small ones. Any ideas on where to start would be greatly appreciated. thanks lonnie
  11. My wife and I fished from about 2:00 till dark. Didn't catch a thing till we anchored for awhile. One small green back. Then trolled some. I caught a nice sow on a minnow. Weighed 1.7 lbs. Was full of eggs. Water temp ran from 58 to 63. Futher up the creek the warmer it was. Saw a lot of fishermen but not very many catching any thing. If we get some rain and the corp lets the lake come up we might get a run.
  12. Any one seeing any shad down there? I am wanting to get a bunch of gizzard shad for bait. Want to do some cat fishing.
  13. Any one seeing very many shad balls? If so how deep are the generally running? I would like to catch a bunch of gizzard shad for bait. It appears that there are no skip jacks in this area.
  14. Where can a fellow get some skip's this time of year? Local bait shop doesn't have any.
  15. That size would tickle me. I am looking for some fun and some good eating. I guess I would have to head down towards deep water. The water up here at Forsyth isn't much above 10 ft.
  16. Any body fishing for blue cats? I understand that winter is the best time to fish for them. I would like to get in touch with any one who is catching them. I would like to start fishing for them and don't know much about how to go about it. Thanks
  17. I went the cheap way. I bought 2 sets from Bass Pro, that are made by Action Products here in Mo. They have served me well. I have snagged cranks several times and they have twisted from 90 degrees to almost parallel and held with no damage. The only draw back is the rod keeper. White ring. I have had 2 come off. They need to come up with a better way to fasten it in place. I am thinking of getting 2 sets of the Bass Pro brand now. Any one use them?
  18. I talked to a guy that works at the Powersite dam. There is no set times for them to run. He told me the best way to figute times was to look at Table rock and add two to three hours, according to how much Table rock is generating. If TR in not generating much, add 2 hrs, etc.
  19. According to my Hot Spots lake map it is just over 82 miles. That is measured down the center of the lake, it looks like.
  20. has anyone been to Hogan, yokum or elbow lately? wondering how hard it is to put in and take out.
  21. There are probably more people chasing them than you notice. we don't beat the bank like most bass fisherman, but some will drop shot for them. if you see a boat with rods sticking out, watch out, especially if there are yellow or orange things out to the side. those are planer boards and an out board will wrap up a lot of line in a hurry. i use braid and that will eat the seals out of a lower unit in a hurry. I love walleye to eat along with crappie. The bull is mostly a put and take lake, like Taneycomo.
  22. Mike, You should have your own TV show! You catch more fish in all kinds of weather and at all times of the year than any one I have heard of. Keep up the good work. I look forward to your reports.
  23. I hope they will start holding more water. The way it is now there isn't enough water to get to the Pot Hole unless you take some with you. The rocks there are above water if you are going hunting for lost crank baits etc. The draw down sure kills the fishing. I have been trolling very slowly and still lucky to catch 2 eating size fish a day. Lots of days I come home empty. Using live bait now or there wouldn't be any bites at all. From K-dock to Beaver Creek there is a lot of wood sticking out of the water now. Sure don't want to be out after dark.
  24. Mike have you found any crappie?
