    I'm with mixer. I have 4 loomis rOds and 6 others falcon is best value. I love my cara but bucoo would be fine.

    I like the falcon rods. I saw a microguide baitcaster Bucoo (sp?) at Walmart for $120. Very nice rod for the price. Walmart in Springfield on South Campbell.

    I managed a limit of walleye on main lake points using worms. 17-25 ft.

    It takes 5 years to grow a 12 inch smallie in the river. 7 years for a 15 inch fish.

    It's hard on the river to kill the smallies. I'll share some walleye fillets if needed.

    Just noticed you want crappie not bass info. Good crappie fishing near the bridge piers.

    Go way up river towards blunk ramp and throw a spinnerbait on the greener trees in the river. Also try a pumpkin grub on the main lake points. Good crappie bite in the brush.

    Your starting battery should last a couple years. I think you need a marine starting rather than a deep cycle to run the engine. Deep cycle for troller only.

    We could not get the crank or spinnerbait going. Fish were on moss free bottoms. If you threw a Texas rigg the moss would eat it up. Chompers senkos worked better than Gary yamamotos.

    The rock is like a bad relationship when its on it's as good as life can be. When its bad it's horrible. You stay with her to chase the great days knowing all along you will have several bad ones. I love the rock, but fishing is more consistent on Stockton or Pomme. I have fished this lake my whole life and seen her take down the best.

    Do they stock Walleye in Pomme any more? I caught one on a spinnerbait two weekends ago. It was just over 15 inches.
