I would like to see the 4 point on 1 side state wide but at the same time would like to be able to shoot the spikes If a buck is olny a spike the first year it will not ever make mutch of a deer is what I have been told I can almost believe it I have shot some 2 year old spikikes that had 14 in spikes. all nongame fish are leagal from sept 15 to jan 31 to be taken by gig.I believe bows are leagal all year. spoonbill are a game fish and can olny be taken from march 15 to april 30. spoonbill dont bite they are filter feeders and if you hook one before march 15 or after april 30 it must be realised. my buddy snaged one 2 weeks ago on a deep diver trolling for whitebass at Truman.

went to HWY133 bridge yesterday coucht 10 goggleye and 8 little small mouth and 1 small large mouth fishing was slow for the first hour but picked up around 6 pm the goggleye had moved out of the places wher I had cought lots of fish earley in the year and spread out along the bluffs .

never heard of anyone eating them but they will kill cattle and if they can kill a cow I dont think I will be eating them.

thanks I dident get there untile around 11 am that is most of the problem I hope when I use to go with my dad it dident seem to matter what time you got there we always cought fish. That was 15 - 16 years ago. alot diffrent now guess that is why we dont go anymore.

2in powerbait power grubs pumpkinseed color work great on the Niangua and Gasconade Hard to find sometimes but worth the hunt. Best place to find them is the bait and tackel place between Pittsburg and Nemo looks like a old house you probley been there.

september usually is not good for gigging anyway the water clears up in October pretty good I wish the conservation would open season a month later and leave it open a month longer.

you would gain alot not having to drag the boat through most of the riffels but you might gain some holes in your boat like I do on the niangua almost sunk in mine at leadmine last year took about 30 seconds. a frind of mine catches sevral flatheads above tunnel dam and has cought a few in the 40 lb range and one 53lbs between Leadmine and Lake Niangua.
