It was down (boat count) last year due to the high water. If it looks to be decent weather they will have 100+ boats. -

TFW The place Pour Dennis has mentioned is the nearest tire place to any storage place there in Shell Knob. It is located about 3 miles south of the Shell Knob bridge. -

Thanks for the info Bill! I am trying to talk them into going after the bass and if the guide has a crappie bite going on and they can slide over and get on them. Hope to see you all in the water this spring if I can get a few days away form baseball.

Can anyone point me in the direction of A or some crappie guides on the Rock. I am aware there are not many and this is not a heavily targeted species on the lake but my brother likes to fish for them and would like to link up with a guide first. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated!

SKMO you are right that was intended for CMAC. I am with you color is not as important as some make it out to be although cotton candy has been a good color for me on the Rock. I am no expert but I have find the majority of the fish on TR feed at about the same time everday. That is not to say they all feed at 10 for example but a school that feeds at 10 one day will tend to feed close to 10 the next day. This is jmho.

I talked to a guy today that said his cove was full of trash but the main channel was clear. Hard to belive there is so much debris on a lake that old.

So the rising water has picked up all the normal trash it has just blown into cuts and up against the shore? Is your dock on the channel or in cove? Ours is on the Channel and we constantly have to deal with the debris.

Royal Point. You are right it is like little Wichita around SK. Of course we have to come down there to get decent lakes. All we have around here are puddles.

Gotcha. I am about 2.5 to 3 sbove Viola. I was suppose to come down this weekend but the weather changed my mind. I have a friend from here in Wichita that has to be right around where you are. Anyway thanks for all the excellent reports and I hope the finger heals well.
