    I was going to "like this" for getting the information out to all but, I don't like the "feds" increasing fees; when they denied me a cost-of-living raise !!!! "Big brother" should NOT be allow to make a 50% fee increase, if those of us that worked 50+ year and paid in for 50+ years get told your cost didn't go up and by the way we are making a 50% increase on anything that gets you out of the house... !!!!!!!!(^&($#@%#&*(()*(%##@#@#$WWE*U*(IE(O !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next guy can have the soapbox now......

    Well, it has been 20+ years since I wired nav. lights in a boat but, this switch "should" wire as above .. It is just a double pole / double throw switch with internal light that needs a ground to light..... You are much more patience man than me !!!! By now that switch would be in the lake and I would have a new one wired in......

    My gauges/console lights only come on when the key is in the run position..... Can you post a picture of the back of your switch ?????? I have never seen one with the terminals that you have...

    If your main focus is numbers of fish -- the bridge pilings at Greenfield has crappie and bass around them all year... You may catch 20 fish and one would be of legal size... You need to watch "where & what" the others are doing and you will see what is working at this time... I started both of my boys about the age of four and now one runs bass tournaments Louisiana and the other has a house on Beaver Lake... And both are outstanding members of their communities -- Neither became "CROOKS or POLITICIANS" !!!!!

    Any unit you buy will only get 30 days with the store ... after that you have to deal with the manufacture until their warranty expires... Then you are on your own...

    Here is a link to a forum about fish finders , with lots of screen shots and info on what you are seeing... Which will help in your decision ??? But will give everybody a greater understanding of what you are seening... starting with page 7 and up are the newer units.. ( and of course Mine is on page seven )...

    I am fully aware of a budget when buying anything.. But, your main concern has to be "something" your your dad can see... As I am 70+, I have had to upgrade to a slightly larger screen at my console and a significant increase in the screen size on my unit on the floor at the trolling motor... That being said, Lowrance has the newer CHIRP 5" finders at about $400 for just a fish finder and $500 for a GPS/finder model... I bought my units from The Digital Oasis online -- and saved 10-20% over BPS/Cabela's....

    If you go to the National Recreation site .. it will give you a map to click on all the sites at Stockton and then click on "check availability" and them click on "facility Map" which will show all the camp sites..     I use Sufix & PowerPro (4-20 or 4-15)with a 2-4 foot leader of 6-10 lb Floro (depending on the depth & weight/size of my lure).. The best knot for joining the braid and Floro ( that I have tried ) is.....

    Go with a "good" braid... A cheap "super-soft" braid will drive you crazy on a baitcaster and at night you will chuck the whole thing in the lake ( if you can find the lake --LOL )

    I use PowerPro 10/2 for the main line ; then tie on a "high dollar" small swivel and tie 4-6 foot of 8# floro leader from the swivel to the lure.... I can get deeper than the lure is suppose to run and no/min line twists ...

    I don't know who claims it but there is a MDC symbol on the sign at the entrance ?????? Maybe Aldrich is not part of the "lake". But the Lil Sac river ???
