  1. I'm waiting on the book / movie version of " F&F vs BEAVER LAKE"
  2. Purchased fall of 2007.. I have installed it 3 times.. The back yard, to make sure I could understand how to install it and take pictures.. At Beaver for an overnight fishing trip.. fished 3-5pm, the rain started and the wind gust to 28mph.. Got into the tent about 6pm- wind and rain till 4am ! There was a puddle about the size of a silver dollar, just inside the door, where the zipper stops.. ( I was unable to secure the door flap as I was in the parking lot and could not use the stakes in the asphalt) Next spring at Beaver for a 3 day / 2 night fishing trip.. 80 degree days and there was good air flow and comfortable temp with the window flaps open... The package is complete, including the carry bag, instructions and NO damage; plus I have an across the bed shelf that I made..It will fit most full size pickups with a short (6.5') bed The model number is 55022. It is the same as the current model 57022 except the flap poles on the 55022 go to the ground and on the 57022 they go to the tailgate of the truck... You can Google for more information or PM me with any questions.. I gave $ 250 for it, the current model is $ 270-300... I would like $ 100 for it OR a 4-6 hour Beaver fishing trip for Smallmouth and/or Walleye

  6. CORPS Stockton site said 34 as of Friday...
  7. I don't know about the "newer" models but, I have a Lowrance 520 on the dash and a 522 on the trolling motor and.... IMHO- the gps function of the 520 puts me on the "spot" and the 522 up front keeps me there... Case in point -- fishing around a brush pile with a wind, your mind is telling you are on the left of the brush but the more you move to the left the further you are getting away from the the brush because, you have a right2left wind ... Plus, with the 522 and minor tweaking I can watch a 1/16th jig down to 25+ feet and watch a fish come up to the jig.. Very critical in cold water when there is no strike - they just take the lure in their mouth and sit still... If you are looking to "scan" a wide area while spider rigging - you will need a side scanner on the trolling motor OR you will be past the fish befor ethey show up on the dash unit.... I.E. it is alot like a prop... you can't have a perfect hole-shot and max top end with the same unit.... Sorry if nothing I have said helps but, more for you to consider ......

  14. I sent this Email to CORPS @ Stockton -----Original Message----- To: Stockton Subject: [EXTERNAL] Lake Temps Approximately what part of the lake do you take the : "Lake Surface Temperature" and the "River Surface Temperature" readings ?? Plus is it "surface" or one foot down ?? 40+ years ago I was told to take readings 10-12" below the surface for a truer reading ?? Thank you. The ANSWER from CORPS::::: Classification: UNCLASSIFIED Caveats: NONE Good Morning Thanks for your interest in Stockton Lake. The readings that we record are taken at the face of the dam for the lake, and directly below the dam for the river. The readings are taken near the surface - ~~~ around 6 to 12 inches deep. 20. If you mean the ramp on the Marina side - Yes, it has remained open because, it is a leased ramp to the Marina... ( Some people call the north side ramp the south because, you turn off to it while you are south of the Marina ramp )
  21. Looks like you had a fun day... the only thing I would have done different is the "over achiever" would have went on a 4/0 hook and about 4oz of lead and sent him looking for "old linesides"... Great report... Thanks....
