  1. I have been reading all the praises of the "Flicker Shad" so I stopped by Bass Pro in Springfield and bought a couple yesterday.. The wife and I run up to Stockton Lake-28 minutes from house- (I know this is a Beaver board) last evening ( 4:30-8:00 ) and here is the results -- All but the 19" walleye came on the flicker shad..... Also - 5 LM bass, all on a 6" green punkin w/ red flake lizard - 2 were 16"+..All released to fight again.. So, maybe all the Flicker Shad stories are (mostly ) TRUE ????
  2. The wife and I run up there this evening ( 4:30-8:00 ) and here is the results -- All but the 19" walleye came on the flicker shad..... Also - 5 LM bass all on a 6" green punkin w/ red flake lizard - 2 were 16"+.. Thanks 9LBer for the "tip off" that "the bite is on".....

In Missouri you can only have 3 hooks so, I put spinnerbait blades on the other two wires.. http://www.bassmaster.com/tips/its-new-its-different-its-alabama-rig
  11. I didn't check the water temp on the main lake -- I only was checking in south facing pockets from 1/3 to 2/3 in to the pocket.........
  12. I was using a "MO-JO" rig.... ( I.E. light weight Carolina Rig ) with a 1/8oz mo-jo weight and about 10-12 inches leader..... I was working 5-10 FOW... hit were around 7-8 foot...
  13. Got on the water at 1530hrs ( sorry -- 3:30pm ) and at 3:32 put the first bass in the boat - 15.5 inches.. Fished till 6:30pm -- total 6 bass 15.5 - 16.5 -- 4 on a bone colored "McStick" and 2 on a Lake Fork Tackle 6" paddle tail worm.... All on secondary points and the water temp form launch till take out was 50 degrees + or - 1 degree.... After the warm up next week Stockton should EXPLODE with hungry fish..........................

  17. Thought things were about right for the “dam walleye” to be active so, off to Stockton... ( First mistake ) The wind was “0” in Willard so, should be at Stockton... ( Second mistake ) Arrived Crabtree cove about 4pm .. I had on all the clothes I own except for a snowmobile suit... ( Third mistake ) White caps rolling in to Crabtree cove but, looked clam at the dam.. ( Fourth mistake ) I’m tough , I can fish till dark... ( Fifth mistake ) 6:30pm , I’m shaking so bad I can’t open the bail on my reel... ( Time to correct ALL my mistakes ) 6:45pm Boat loaded – heater in truck on full HOT.... Half way back to Willard I am getting feeling back in my feet and hand again..... Seen about a dozen boats and 5-7 shore fisherpersons and saw 1 fish caught and returned to the water... I’m headed back to Stockton as soon as the 4 of July fireworks are over !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
