The Ned rig is was the bait of choice for me last week. Green Pumpkin and it did bring in 2 crappie that were 14''. No luck on the jerkbait, or A-rig but did get one on a 1/4oz jig. Water clarity was 3-6ft.
I went out Monday on MLK day and caught 14 total several were shorts but did get a couple LM and keeper spots. Found them on secondary points that had the sun and brush piles. The water was in 10-20' depth range.
Can anybody tell me if PB#2 is frozen over? suppose to fish BWSTA this weekend and haven't heard if that is going to happen with the temps and frozen lake conditions. Don't mind the temps just don't want the frozen ramps.
I recommend you get some maribu jigs from Swing Oil Baits.com they have won lots of money at Taney. I fish them 90% of the time and have always limited out. Sculpin, olive, white and some other mixture colors. I use 3/32 if there is no water running and 1/8 oz if the water is running. Good luck .
I'm glad to see a bait company that makes all their baits here in AMERICA. Don't really care if it is a knock-off because everything in the fishing industry is repeated. Atleast they have jobs here and the profits stay in the USA.
I was at Bass Pro yesterday and found the RC rods, and like JEB mentioned they are heavy and round like a pool que. They just didn't seem like a quality rod to me, glad I didn't order one. Thanks for the report.
I'm not sue the cost but Wright and McGill are going to release a Rick Clunn glass rod like his old ones. RC and David Fritts are good friends and Fritts lamiglass rods are really good but kinda costly, so if the RC glass rods are anything like the lamiglass rods it is a good investment.
