  1. Oh the poll asking about how many times you were actually checked by an conservation agent over the last year. Yes I remember that poll http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=14426. This is not exactly on topic since agents don't have authority on county law like drinking and nudity (unless they have added nude fishing in the Wildlife Code Book recently). Move over Zogby and Rasmussen. There is a new pollster in town and his name is Chief Greybear. Why don't you start a poll? If oberservation by anyone is so effective, Why is there a problem requiring a law??????
  2. Tell us a little more about the Ithaca shotguns when you are through with the homework. I would just love to shot birds with the 12 the rest of my life .
  3. Sorry to offend you. I also own no hunting land. While you might be willing to pay more for your hunting, I don't feel the private landowner should have to pay anything to hunt the game on his own land. That is one reason he owns the land in the first place. Wouldn't you?? I guess you are either a private property advocate or a public property advocate. Capitalism or Socialism. It is just that simple.
  4. Is there any interest to see what members have to say about movies? Either new releases or DVDs?
  5. In the words of Bill Murray in Stripes, "It is Alive"
  6. I also really doubt they would hit the water at 9 am on a weekday either. That is when I take my family floating, not saturday at 3 p.m.
  7. Techo: I believe we already have laws prohibiting public nudity and public drunkeness. Maybe just some enforcement of existing laws and concerned citizens phoning in such behavior. Or maybe just legislate a bunch of laws and then never do a darn thing about any of them. This is where our country is going whether anyone will admit it or not. Here in Springfield there is a law that anything moving with wheels is supposed to have a pooper scooper inside. Can they write us a ticket for it? Absolutley. A left over law from the horse an carriage days. Here is some news for everyone, laws are worthless if not enforced. Our group of canoes actually got pulled over on the Elk river one year. Part of the problem is that most colleges are dry so the kids plan every kind of party in every place imaginable. I can't blame them for that.
  8. The id is not so bad when hunting as a group, but when alone it is a challange. I had a friend call me about 10 years ago because they got to their lease and the lake was frozen up and there were about 1,000 snow geese in a water about the size of a swimming pool. The elected to pull the trigger on them out of two guns. Granted this was before the increased limits on snows. There were literally 50-75 dead birds. Many of which weren't even hit with shot, just dead from heart attacks or fright of some kind. Kyle: Let me know how you cooked them and if you liked them.
  9. JD with those limits you better have someone with a gun and license close or only pull the trigger once at two geese. Ha
  10. Kyle: I meant breed of geese. What did you shoot? Canadians I am guessing.
  11. I am looking for land that has water (flooded field, ponds or lake) in the Lockwood/Golden City area to lease for waterfowl hunting.
  12. Small Geese or Big Geese?
  13. Funny. I just brought this up during the election and Chief jumped all over it like I was nuts. Yet here it is being discussed as policy. Just wait until they start to tell you what temperature to keep your house.
  14. Lets hear everyone's favorite kazoos.
  15. Guilty of protecting you and me?
  16. Ya, I think a lot of folks feel the same way. Just isn't the same. I think at times he gets on here but other times doesn't have net access. I am sure he will be back in abundance some day.
  17. I like all of freedoms that this " ___________ in a punch bowl" seeks to restrict. How about tackling real issues at the state level like roads? Thank god for the good people of Lowry City this guy will get a good dose of term limits in the future.
  18. I am sure freedom of religion exists on State Land. Maybe we can send some preachers or pastors down there to counsel these unfortunate souls.
  19. Can we organize an annual fishing float with these guides?
  20. Maybe he didn't harvest it. Could it be that the big old hog just spit it up in his boat and said, "take this back please it has been hurting my tummy too long?" Probably a tale. Could it be the size of the bass was embellished to go along with all the B.S?
  21. Here is a novel idea for this incompetent politician. Why don't they just write tickets for the lewd behavior or haul them off to jail for existing laws and not add new restrictions on our freedom? Unbelievable. Banning certain liquors? Sounds like he might be missing a few brain cells himself.
  22. Thanks for the warning. I have both kinds. The felts just slip on and my hunting waders I have are seperate shoes and take longer to suit up.
  23. Can anyone tell me why you don't think felt covered boot waders would work in a muddy flooded corn field?
  24. Let me tell you guys something before anyone gets carried away. They are a very close knit group and communicate very effectively. They will band together if provoked. This happend in the 90's at phelps grove park in springfield and they were being harrassed. They had CB radios back then and when harrassed banded together to protect each other. I do not advise anyone to single them out or you may be sorry. Unfortunately, They closed the area completly at night to solve the problem by running them off. I hope this won't happen here but you never know. Depends on how big a problem the law enforcement consider it.
  25. Phil: I have no problem with alternative lifestyles. When I reference freaks I mean people who can't find a bedroom. Anyone who does this crap in public is a little wierd or an out and out freak. Some people get a thrill out of this public part and that is sick to me.
