  1. I don't think you're as guilty as you might think.. My guess is it was tuberculosis, bro, the fish gave up the ghost and ate your fly, determined to go out in one last blaze of glory...
  2. Nice fish, bro, a heck of a rock bass/goggleye!! Sorry, not a Smallie though... Don't matter, do it? I bet if faught like the dickens anyways!! What size rod are you using?
  3. Agreed, if possible.. It's the color you wanna work on, though.. I like the orange ones..
  4. This!!! All of it, but especially that last sentence...
  5. Good idea, buddy! I may have to volunteer to man that trolling motor one of these days...
  6. Yeah, that guy is a class act, for sure..
  7. As is evidenced by this: Now THAT's s heck of a way to make up for the confusion!! That's a very wise and classy business move, I may just have to spend a little money with em this winter... Hmm..
  8. I expected "sexy" and instead I got "completely nude"... Cheese and rice, man, leave a little to the imagination!! I'm thinkin a silky see through with garter attachments woulda fit well... Nice pics, thanks for the report...
  9. I'm glad you're okay, man!! I wondered why I was getting away with murder around here! So what were your symptoms?
  10. Don't worry, I won't tell..
  11. Ah, but if you look at it with polarized lenses you can clearly make out the "Al Agnew Collection" ™ logo..
  12. Cmon, mitch.. He was Layin it on extra thick, eh? You didn't catch the next paragraph where he saw a team of little leaguers do the same within the time frame of a spongebob squarepants movie? lol Fredrick, thank you for your insight... I've got a medication that can help you with that.
  13. The park should be okay by now, most of the "partiers" that everyone complains about are back in school and/or are outta money for the summer... The camping in the park is convenient and cheap..
  14. Dear lord!! The venom on this thread is almost palpable!! I am listening children... :shakes_head_chuckling:
  15. Funny lookin' little freak, ain't he? The fish, I mean...
  16. X2 Christ Andy, if your tired of people "running off at the fingertips" you should avoid the fishing forum... lol, just sayin..
  17. That was funny, Ness.. Kudos! I wear bright pink whenever possible, just to scaore off the homophobic fish.. Plus my wife thinks I'm hot in pink...
  18. a member here made the following statement in regards to a fellow members fishing report: This isn't the first time I have heard this. Frankly, I routinely get this from bait fishermen on the river when I come through and stick three or four stockers right in front of them. I am just curious what the rest of the class thinks? Also, bear in mind that this isn't a question of law, but of "ethics"...
  19. Sorry, I didn't mean "evidence" in the traditional sense.. I'll take your word for it.
  20. That "decent one" was under 3 lbs by far, just decent compared to the recent (6-10 inch) stockings... I appreciate the input guys, I remember those jet boat photos, I'd love to see some more evidence of "lunkers", if anyone has one?
  21. Noted, thanks. I'm still gonna ask though.
  22. And that's the history as I recall it too.. During that time period (and into the mid 90's) fishermen who are greater than I were reporting large (3+ lb) browns as far down as Prosperine (rarely, but they WERE there, I've hook a few and seen others on gigging trips) I recall one fishing trip in 1997 when I caught one that was 22 inches. I've heard of folks hooking them in Zone three recently, but I can't drum up one report (local or otherwise) of a "big brown" out of the river itself since the 1997-1998 area, not even the giggers I know. (and yes, they would tell me, these guys are strict C&R of gamefish, we grew up together) Anybody?
  23. It's been a mighty long time since I have seen or heard of a big (lunker class) brown being caught in the Niangua... Anyone care to expound on these stories a bit? I'd sure love to hear a confirmed recent story or see a pic of a "big brown" from the Niangua.. Anyone?
