  1. I let em talk me into a better one...never had a rear time tiller but I think this a good one and I feel like I got a deal on it Honda motor...with the owners manual
  2. I hear ya...I think it’s fixable. Thanks for help
  3. Found this...looks like it’s over my pay grade
  4. Thanks might get the boy to help hold the plug...the wire is only about 3 inches...kind of hard to pull it...and hold the plug down i don’t know anything about points so Most likely a bust at this point....the predator motor is a decent idea but...not sure it makes sense...and not sure how the throttle linkage slash cabling would work I’d give it away if someone wants it...otherwise it might become structure at the nearest fishing hole
  5. Just went and checked again...bummer Ill probably try to pull it apart and look at the points just cuz I’m curious but definitely in uncharted territory

    What's Cooking?

Dang...looks good and sounds fancy...but I’m more impressed that you got 24 ducks this year...I know we didn’t
  7. Except a boat...sorry I couldn’t resist
  8. I can feel air being push up thru the spark plug hole...but not seeing any spark
  9. I think it’s too old to have a kill switch but doesn’t appear to be getting spark...I think that concludes this experiment but just to be sure...you mean just laying it on the grate like this right? thanks for the help
  10. Sorry man...I forgot to mention that the garden forum is a tough crowd
  11. What’s best way to check the spark? Does carb have to be on it?
  12. Cool...Maybe some of those guys will chime-in...
  13. I misused the term fire I think...I haven’t checked it for spark but I did put a new plug in it today. i just meant when i pull it...it doesn’t act like it wants to start im not very good at this stuff but I’m working on it
  14. that’s just wysteria i made that trellis deal too i planted grapes out back along the fence about 10 years ago...but took em out a couple years ago...I don’t why we took em out...think it just got to be a pain
  15. Thanks...we live in town but that was an old farmstead they say. previous owner made a chicken coop in the middle...I tried to make it a greenhouse on south side...and there’s more storage on north side. we don’t really use the greenhouse side except for storage...but I put some old windows on the side and cut the roof out of it and put some of those clear plastic panels on it about 10 years ago. It’s kind of a hippie farm but I’ve been too busy with kid stuff lately to enjoy it...but I think I’ll get back into it.
  16. Looks about like ours...ours needs some love tho theres a good garden forum Just below this one i talked to the tractor guy today...he’s going to try Friday afternoon if it dries up enuf
  17. I got the carb off...that one bolt is hard to reach the pickup tube screen looks good. The upper bowl of the tank looks good Going to take the carb apart next
  18. I found a video...will keep you posted
  19. I got the 3 screws out of the top...and breather tube off...but can’t figure out how to pull the carb out. I took the top screw out of the what I guess is the manifold but can’t get to the bottom one so I don’t think that’s right...I put it back in. The tank wiggles a little now...but can’t see where it bolts on at the bottom Its like painting by numbers with me...im not good at this stuff
  20. that scares me if you think I should bail on it....you’re like macgyver with that old boat motor you’ve been working on...the predator idea is good worst case idea I’m going to keep dinking with it...thanks to everyone with the tips for the carb. I’ll try to pull it apart.
  21. Thanks for help...I wonder how you get that dude off of there??? I’m not very mechanical
  22. Won’t fire even with starting fluid
  23. I pulled old tiller out of the barn today...and trying to get it going again. For past 7 or 8 years we’ve just been gardening in raised beds with a mantis...but thinking about having someone till me a spot...so trying to get the old clodbuster going It has about a 1/8 inch of barn dust on it...but was running when it went in bad news...had a little gas in it...gas was pretty brown...and smelled like varnish...and it had a mud dobbers nest in the air filter i got the gas old out...and filled it up with good...then syphoned it out...and still trying to get the little bit of rust type residue out of the tank. i have been trying to clean the tank...and all the dust off of it. I’m using the old gas to clean the dust off....so if there’s a bucket with black stuff in it...that’s the old gas plus dust. i know these pictures stink but I’m trying to use what I learned fixing fuel pump on old boat motor to this one...but as stupid as it sounds. I can’t figure out where the gas exits the tank. I see where I guess it’s the fuel pump is...it’s behind the muffler. But there’s no inflow...from there it has a rigid line to the carb all the cables and stuff are still flexible and in good working condition...engine oil looks good...spark plug looks good Any tips...besides pushing it in the pond?
  24. I hear ya on the kids...but I’m sure We we’re that way too. Or at least I know I was....I know mine are that way too talked to my mom today...she said it was day 16...she was in good spirits
  25. I just saw the hospital test someone on local Joplin tv. They put the q-tip in the nose about 3/4 of an inch. Just rubbed against the septum on both sides...and put it in the bag. I heard trump today on his newscast...he compared the test to someone sticking a q-tip in his nose up to his eyeball...and then making a right turn. Not trying to say they’re doing it wrong but definitely contradicts what he said today on tv
