  1. Seemed like they were still there this morning...just couldn't get them to bite...think maybe front moved thru last night effected them. We picked up a couple more along the bluffs this past hour but still slower than yesterday
  2. Much tougher this morning...only 2 fish in 2 hours...what a difference a day makes
  3. 4 or 5 days in...and it is great...We're setting marker bouys on the break...and fishing in general area...and really catching a bunch...mapping really helps. I can't imagine how much the higher end units help...
  4. Hard time down loading....too many blues
  5. Most are about like this one...drop shot in about 25 feet is best.
  6. Not to be a jerk but just as a sample...there are a lot of those size fish floating in main channel...we also saw a 28 inch or so walleye floating yesterday which suprised us...figured it for table fare Drop shot working great...50 fish day at least...mostly 12 to 14 inch ky bass...some keepers though
  7. Thanks for reply on drop shot...that's the plan for today...I'm going to try drop shot the deeper fish on ledge and run troller...and have boys throw jigs and tubes to the bluff...will keep you posted
  8. Thanks...I like his slider heads...have used with fish doctor for a long time. Raining here now...not much but enough...feels good. We fished by the swim beach this morning and had three nice kys on a drop shot in about 20 minutes...
  9. I got a question...we are marking a lot fish on the bluffs in what I would call the 2nd ledge in about 25 feet...about 10 to 15 yards off bluff in parts...from there it goes to a 100 feet or so... what is best way to catch those fish? A drop shot? I think if we tried to drag them...we would hang up constantly...thanks for help if you reply
  10. We're doing best along the bluffs with a jig...also small worms and tubes are catching everything from catfish to bluegills...but better bass have came on jig...near a lay down...big fish this morning was 18inch largemouth...also nice smallie on a jig...short fish on sliders and fish dr Not doing very good on gravel...We're probably too shallow...trying to fish 15 to 20...we'd caught couple good ones on neds...but they're pretty few and far between
  11. 2hours of scraping the bluff across from Campbell point...resulted in 1 16 inch smallie on a pbj jig...with baby Bush hog tel...and a handful of goggle eye. I am definitely a glutton...for what it's worth...parelling the bluff worked better than a 45
  12. Just hooked it up prior to coming this week..and for a recreational fisherman...it is pretty great. Really cool at night...only 250 or so online at academy...hasn't brought any more fish in boat per se...but definitely feel safe cruising lake at night
  13. Biggest came off a Ned early this morning...youngest caught it...thanks Dave and Dan...near lunker landing this morning...I'm gearing up for the pass out this afternoon...and planning to turn lights on tonight til 2am
  14. The dead bass...aren't just at ramp area...where there are a handful...we have seen them floating all over the lake so not sure if related to tournaments...we just came back from swimming off the bluff straight across from ramp...and there were two nice ones...bigger than anything we'd caught so far...we fished til 11 or so this morning...ned, spook and shaky heads mostly...found a bunch of small ky bass..and I mean small schooling this morning by pt20
  15. Largemouth...we went half way to Baxter..and fished a gravel point...turned the lights on and fished for an hour...should've stayed longer but one boy wanted to come in...we caught 10 or 12...mostly smallmouth and kentuckies...couple goggle eyes and one nice bluegill...nice night for it
  16. We're thinking about dropping a green light down tonight...anybody have a spot close? Thinking about going straight across from ramp on that bluff end...opposite side of lake
  17. We're here now...pretty crazy at the ramp today...water is high and people are just launching off parking lot...but not steep enough...so lots of frustration...and fun times people watching. Lot of dead fish around ramp..we rode a jet ski for a bit...fished for about half hour about 5...caught one on drop shot...one on Ned...and I missed one on crig... Cloudy...right now...feels good
  18. We're on our way down in am...be at Campbell point for a week. We might be gluttons...but I'll have a smile on my face. I figure we'll struggle at times but I bet we catch enough to make it worthwhile. If your in the area say hi...the boy and I will be in an old g3 Lilly's landing rental boat...cant miss us
  19. Started early this morning out of Martin's landing. Was one of those days...we caught so many Whites...the boys got tired of it...and wanted to go chase green fish....which were much tougher to come by
  20. I bought a super duper from cabelas...for a bargain. But co2 catridge was expired...but they sent me recharge kit. If in market...look at cabelas
  21. Not sure what was going on down there but bunch of wrapped boats with an observer onboard. Fishing was tough for us...couple on a spinnerbait...couple on fluke...couple on a crankbait...one on a c rig...and a couple on a shaky head. We fished gravel points on main lake...and first point in coves. Put in at Martin's landing is in good shape...water is back down but muddy in main lake...saw one floater by terra Miranda. Water color looked better in the coves. Water was 76

Thanks...I heard water is in parking lot at Martin's landing so we're checking options...probably going to euchie or bone creek. I like both lakes and should be relatively flood free
