I Got Someone In Trouble Today.
wildhunter066 replied to Chief Grey Bear's topic in General Angling Discussion
Chief first congrats on what u did the agents are few and far inbetween they need our help and u did the right thing. The reason this board swings to the right is because most of your conservationist are conservaties. Most of your left wingers are people like P.E.T.A. (totally a liberal group). If they could ever get our guns the next thing will be our poles. Notice i say most and i am not saying every liberal is like that just the majority the same way with conservaties. -

Oh my that is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to watch out for thos beavers that are trained in the special art of fioshermna eating!!!!!!!! I have had a few ru in with those little fury creature when i was about 14 me and a budy was running limb lines in a little 10ft john when we went to check one of our lines that just happen to be 2 close to a beaver hole we got drenched when she went to slapping the water with her tail.We had to go back to camp and dump the water and pee out of our boat. I dont eve want to get in the story of noodlin and whil me and two buddys was blocking a hole a beautiful beavr with razor sharp teeth came shooting out right between us.After that we had to onceagain go change clothes. I think your story takes the cake though i have never heard of them hunting in pack like that for fisherman. LOL

My girlfriend is forcing me to take her to eureka in about a month so i have decided if i have to go im going to get some fishing in while i am there! I have never fished anywhere around eureka before and it looks like the tailwater at beaver is probably the best oppurtinity for some trout on the fly. If anyone has anyother suggestions that would be great. It looks like they are running alot of water out of beaver so im guessing there is no wading oppurtunitys. I was also wondering if there is any good guides for the tailwater and if the generation is up can you catch them on the fly rod any suggestion would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Took the family to hickory creek and fished the lower apart it appears they havent stocked it at all. I did catch my first smallmouth on fly rod though a nice little 12". I didnt try the upper part im sure here are a lot more trout but there was also alot more people. I am going to try and hit it next weeken early in the morning.

The only problem with background checks is the nuts usually dont bother with the background checks. -
You might try camping at pineville on elk. Ther used to be a campgroung that didnt allow any alchol there and was very clean. Its less than 30 min from hickory. I think there maybe a place to camp on shoal were hwy 71 crosses it but im not sure. They are also supposed to stock hickory again on july 3. Let me know if your coming down and maybe we caqn hookup or give you some tips.
-
they could be the on i caught was a little bigger than the one in hoppers pic. I also hooked a very nice fish around 20 in or a little better. there are some really nice fish in there i just wonder with all the rain and cool springs we have had the last 2 years if some might have spawned succesfully

I went down to hickory creek today. I caught several fish. One i caught was a little bow of about six inches. It had brilliant colr to it and the fins on the bottom side was a beautiful red with white tips. I was going to get a pic of it but it slipped out of my hands while i was trying. Has anyone else caught some in there like this? I figure it must have just got mixed up with the larger ones at the hatchery but it had fins that looked like the ones at crane.

My friend has a 16' all weld with a 90 evinrude italso has floaters on iy and it screams and floats very shallow. Everyone i know who has the floaters added on to the boat just loves them because it helps the boat start out almost on plane.

They are catching some blues in the park at miami on nightcrawlers. They are mostly smal less than two pounds. I think most of the catfish are spawning right know so fishing is a little tough. Neosho and spring are both at flood stage they are definatly up and muddy.

I was talking about fishing hickory after they stocked it again. In the article olli put the link too it said they would stalk on july 3. I dont know if a will be available that weekend. i would love to get with you guys some timeand go fishing. I usually fish hickory crane capps or rr. I usually always fly fish for trout but im up for anything.

It is a little creek south of seneca on hwy 43 that dumps into elk river in oklahoma. Its a beautiful little creek that is full of crawdads and fish. It used to be a very popular swimming hole we went to when i was a kid. It is a cold spring creek and probably could sustain a trout population.
-
I drove over hickory today it looked to be up a little and roff colored. Maybe if they stock it we could all meet up and fish it.

nice map lilley i just printed one off and will use it tomorrow thanks. Sometimes construction work aint so bad when it rains and you get to go fishing on the weekdays!

We call them water turkeys. They ar absolutely thick on spring and neosho rivers in oklahoma in the spring they say they are very hard on the ifh. The northeast regional game warden in OK tried to get a season started on them. I know of a few guys who already have.

I looked on the mdc site and alligator snappers are considered rare and you can report the sighting but it does not say you must. I did call mdc and report it but i did it hoping they would find and take that monster out of crane they are fish eating machines!

I have fished on grand lake since i was a kid. I used to go with my grandma and catch slab crappies out of the docks all of the time. It has been atleast five years since i have done much of any good crappie fishing ther matter of fact havent really fished it in the past three years I stiil know quite a few people that fish it and havent heard of anyone catrching many crappie. have we all just gotten worse at fishing would love to hear a report of someone tearing them up. I still catch a lot of catfish there and of course the white bass and spoonbill are always thick there but the crappie to me have vanished
