Texas and Louisiana have some AWESOME LAKES....I am definitely thankful I get to fish the lakes of the Ozarks. THESE ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LAKES I HAVE COME ACROSS YET.... I seem to be carrying on AN old family tradition...Next year is ALASKA AND CANADA. Hopefully. My brother n law and I are going to Bull Shoals this weekend I get to learn how to Walleye FISH....HOPE it all works out. I see all the lingo on here and the different rigging. .I will sure let ya know how I do.

If you park your car outside the gate, then you can fish on the Floating Dock as late as you want. We have caught several catfish late at night with chicken liver. We cast off the right side of the dock using a tight line rig.

Do I have to buy a ARKANSAS FISHING LICENSE to fish Lower Bull Shoals?

Hey Oneshot. Have not seen you lately. I have been fishing Stockton. Don't know too much about Pom. However, I bet with the high water the Catfish will start going crazy soon with the warmer days coming in. Last fall when the water got high. We saw Wood Ducks flying in while we were deer hunting. We also saw several catfish and probably Muskie up in the woods feeding. Our deer stand was on the waters edge when the lake flooded. When the lake is at normal pool, our deer stand is 100 yards from the waters edge. good luck and safe fishing. Charles

Yeah, make sure you have it in plainview. Make sure it dont fall out on the ground when you get out of your vehicle. We got a ticket at Indian Point last summer on Table Rock. The ticket was $75.00. Turn a good day of fishing into a bad evening.

Very nice. My brother-n-law is coming in from Colorado today. We will fish Stockton, Fellows, Table ROck and the plan was just to fish Upper Bull Shoals. Looks like all the action is on Lower Bull Shoals. How much is a Fishing License for out of state in Arkansas or do we have to have a Arkansas license? I have never fished either of the BULL SHOAL LAKES. My brother-n-law said he knows how to fish for Walleye. I do not, so this will be all new to me. Any tips on how to rig for Walleye would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Charles

StrawHat...I hear you with the Heart Problems. My Uncle Don used to fish by himself and one day he had a heart attack at the boat launch. I always worry about that myself. I am 43 myself and I do carry my cell phone with me. I was thinking about purchasing one of those things called the "SPOT"...Bass Pro sells them. If you are in an emergency state..just press the button and it will notify the local municipals to your rescue. Sometimes I fish alone too. When I make it up to Stockton I will send you a PM. IF you would like to hook up, I have a 15' FlatBottom JON BOAT. You could sit up front and run the trolling motor.. I dont take it out where the BIGGER BOATS RUN. I stick to less traffic areas as much as possible. I seem to find just as many fish. I usually put in at ALDRICH BRIDGE. When the fish are up the river, I will put in at TAYLORS BRIDGE. The Maze Creek area and Turkey Creek area will all be new to me the first weekend of June. I still have not fished anyother spots on STOCKTON. loo10....My Dad and Grandfather used to load shotgun shells with rock salt back in the day for trespassers. Stings a little

Where do you launch in order to get to K DOCK AREA? I run a 15hp envinrude. SO I i would need to launch close buy. Is K DOCK A boat launch?
