  1. Thanks Oneshot...Just finished getting things ready for 4am.
  2. Are the launches at CC free of charge or do you have to pay? If so, where do I pay when I get there at 4am in the morning?
  3. You could step on them...but that just wouldn't be right
  4. Hey lonkm, are you fishing from the dam down back towards swan creek?
  5. Kwall....were you on Lower Bull Shoals? I got to that boat ramp at Swan Creek at 5am Sunday morning. Caught some shad and minnows with my cast net. Went up to the dam and caught one 2lb large mouth trolling a leech. And while I was reeling it in...My gas line to my motor busted. That is how I felt...got up at 3am to have trouble. I did not have anything to fix it...so I had to hold the motor with both hands..one on the throttle and one on the gas line to get back to the boat launch.. I left and went home...glad to see you did really well. So..were you on Lower Bull Shoals?
  6. I am headed to Bull Shoals right now...Forsyth area. I will let you all know how we do. I am from Louisiana too. I caught my first walleye at the end of May trolling a full night-crawler on a Carolina rig.....just off the South Side of the Kdock Marina. Stockton is also a great area..It is definately a Walleye Factory.
  7. I want know what is happening till tomorrow. My son and I are putting in at Forsyth. Trying the Powersite Dam area. HOPE WE CATCH SOMETHING...i got leeches, night crawlers and plenty of plastics. I will let ya know.
  8. Thanks again and much appreciated. This will be my second time on Bull Shoals. 1ST TIME was off the hook when KDOCK was flooded at the end of May. We caught lots of bass and my first walleye. I will be sure to let you all know how we did.
  9. Thank you rangerman. We are looking forward to it.
  10. My son wants me to take him to Forsyth and put in near the Power-site Dam. Is this a good time of the year to fish hear and what kind of fish are in this area this time of year? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  11. Where is TUCKER FLATS?....Where do you put in at?
  12. With the overwhelming ignorant boating captains on the lake these days, I am thinking about changing my screen name to SINKER. I have had a couple of close calls lately and wished I could sink them with my little 14' Flat Bottom. Some People just don't understand ethical Boating. I thank GOD every time I make it out alive with some fish or no fish. As long as there is fish, I will keep fishing. I will buy a wider boat though. Good Luck guys. Just had to put my 2 cents in.
  13. were you using a cork?
  14. careful....there has been some trailers popping up in the last year like that from Hurricane Katrina. Make sure they are not the ones that are contaminated during construction. Research it...you will see. There was an old airstrip in south Alabama full of them. I would not do it. You might end up with something mama cant even get rid of with "White Wash". You definitely need to do your homework on these. Good Luck.
  15. Most important. Does the trailer have a clear title and do you possess the title?
  16. I heard that there were piranha in LOZ. I found a picture of a world record. This is how big they can get. So, are there PIRANHA in LOZ? If there are and they get this big. What would be the best lure and presentation?
  17. Nice fish. What is the water temp right now and is the mid day bite been good for anyone?
  18. We got folks like that in Louisiana. Some fisherman some practice Voodoo. Maybe they are OAF Members and we can get to talk to them. It cant be all that bad. As long as the Banjos don't start playing you might be alright. Any of you ever run lines out there at night?
  19. Hey one shot. We are putting in at Bennett Springs tomorrow. This will be my first time taking the family down there. They have already been. We will canoe from the Bennett Springs area down. I will be happy to cut them. I was told if no name no shame. However a hook in the eye would not feel very good. By the way if I hang em, tag em and take em home. Most people would discard their line. But I reuse it. Are these locations on our trip?
  20. Do you just tie the 1/8 oz jig to your line and cast it far enough to troll behind your boat or do you use it on a Carolina rig? I used the Carolina Rig a month ago on Bull Shoals with a 4'leader then a hook and a night crawler. I tried that on Stockton a couple of weeks ago and had no luck.
  21. No problem. Keep checking this part of the forum until you make it out. Bob Bennett post his reports frequently and you can count on them. He is accurate. I learned all about this lake from Bob and all the other members. Good Luck and Safe Fishing, Charles
  22. Would the catfish be up in there for limb lines?
  23. I found this on the KTTS 94.7FM RADIO Station's website. Here is the link: http://www.ktts.com/news/96400989.html Power Line Work at Stockton Lake Tuesday, June 15, 2010 Boaters need to be aware that a small area of Stockton Lake will be off limits next week. The Water Patrol says from June 21st through the 25th five power lines will be connected across the Little Sac Arm of the lake from the Highway 245 bridge to near the L-5 mile marker. Also remember that if you use the Cedar Ridge and High Point boat ramps, the work may affect those spots, too.
  24. I would think shallower cause wind drives bait into the shallows and banks..FISH FOLLOW BAIT....ALSO THEY DON'T SEE US AS WELL I Know I can't see under the wavy ripples as good as calmer water. Although, Trying to figure out exactly what a fish will do is like trying to figure out a woman. You will never get it 100%right...BUT I LIKE A CHALLENGE. And is long as I am having fun. I am fine. So how much money did ya bet.
  25. I fished it a couple of weekends ago when the water was way way way up....we caught lots of LM's and Walleye trolling a full night crawler on a Carolina rig with a 4' leader to my hook. We pitched jigs with crawfish or babybrush hog trailers. I dont know what the lake level is now but we put in at a road on the left just before the RAMP at KDOCK. Just backed my trailer off the side of the road in a ditch..worked out great. I heard leaches work good to on Walleye.
